Anything that large is torn to pieces by Earth's gravity. Aircraft-carrier or oil tanker size seem to be the current limit for even something taking advantage of man-made materials. For anything biological or natural, think dinosaurs/blue-whales for size-limits. Anything larger runs into metabolic/heat problems due to the inverse square law. Living beings can be hill-sized, not mountain-sized or larger (especially 100s of km/miles).
