There's some haunted places around, the old jail, the Château Laurier, lots of ruins along the river, the Museum of Nature, Pinhey's Point. Heard tell of ghosts in the tunnels at Carleton U, though haven't seen anything weird there myself. The Mackenzie King Estate up in Chelsea is highly tainted. Crazy fucking guy was obsessed with ghosts and the occult, and you can feel really feel it when you're there.

Walk along the bike paths and you're bound to bump into some weird shit, too. Seen some groups doing freaky rituals over at Carlington Hill before, up around the reservoir.

The wilds are where you'll find the most interesting paranormal things, though, imo. Mer Bleue, the Gatineau Hills, and further off into the valley like Bon Echo all have some weird vibes. Had more than one strange encounter with wildlife in those places. Some primordial forces still operate even in the urban woods but especially in the deep woods, and they don't much care for people. Be respectful.

Keep your head up, at night, as well. Used to be a bigger deal during the Cold War, but Ottawa's a sort of UFO hotspot. Seen more than my fair share of orbs and triangles in the dark of the night, moreso during a new moon from my experience.

Oh, and stay away from federal property. Some of those sites seem tempting, but it's not worth it.
