>>42754437How about open-ended longevity? Lithobraking would ofc still kill you even with that, just as it was supposed to.
>>42754573>longevityWhy would anyone want that when they would still die? Biological immortality is the best option. The problem is how to get it.
>>42754591Isn't that just a wuxia novel bullshit?
You may already be immortal by chance. And that chance is higher than one would expect. Just think about what kind of time you were born into compared to the past. You were possibly born in a time, where a superior intelligent system to humans is going to emerge, a system which will start self referentially improving every bit of itself and rampantly observing/navigating the state space of problems such as immortality. The chances could be against you, where they will find a potential solution, but the resources, energy or information to proceed are unattainable with the present parallel technologies.

>>42754437There might be a couple ways to do this:1) You live long enough where your consciousness can be transported onto a machine - and give you the simulation that you are immortal (without aging or health issues, or pain associated with it)2) The ancient Chinese believe in internal alchemy (look up "neidan") and how one can be so conscious and in control of their own spirit that they in turn affect their body's own aging process. And once you can reverse your age? You are immortalAll hypothetical OP FYI
>>42755181Bump.>>42754437Also look into the ancient Egyptian teachings of the soul (the Ba, Ka, Sa, the Sekhem) and what modern occultism calls the solar body. It is supposedly possible to generate enough worship around someone's personality (like celebrities or ancient kings) that they become a charged egregore after death. Others forever after can intentionally or accidentally assume that persona because it's been "written in the book of life" or imprinted upon the akashic narrative. Supposedly that's the goal of the royals, nobility, and priests who assume their own previous persona in order to overlay their now divine astral form upon their physical body to achieve some increased measure of control over it (or the world around it.)
