To me it feels like an allegory about how souls get stuck on this earth, distracted by the flashing lights only to get snared and stuck here until they find the truth again. Samsara even.

Never watched severance. I understand the Matrix, even the deeper level stuff of "oooo the world is a le simulation". Wizard of Oz I watch many times but never really paid attention to.

I learned something on one of my meditations. I believe the source of creation loves to have many layered "veils" to hide behind but shows just enough to have a faded shadow and to be adorned with symbolisms to have things represented like how a person likes to wear clothes.
