>>
>>42775985
The "independent research" is dogshit from start to end.
If YOU would do experiments, you could easily verify that the earth is round.

>b...but the government said....
No, science said. And the wonderful thing about science is, you can recreate experiments and observatiosn all the time. This is not some jewish conspiracy. You are, just, retarded.
And give you are too retarded for physics, think about how many trillons of dollars had to be spend over centuries across nations (even enemies like sovjets and the US), just to keep up this globe "conspiracy". For absolutely no reason at all.

I highly, really highly suggest to you, to learn physics on undergrad levels. Nowadays complete university courses are free to watch online.
WHAT you will see there is, that it's not a cult. It's not big daddy that tells me something. It's about how to actually think about that shit and verify it for yourself.

Eratosthenes showed the earth is round and calculated the circumference very near the actual value. So, what government was behind that?
You really need to understand: Science doesn't blindly makes people believe nonsense like religions are doing it.
You learn how to tackle a problem and measure and verify it FOR YOURSELF.
Seriously, I'm not shitting you. With a bit of preparation you could prove for yourself that the earth is round. What hinders you to do so?
>>

>>
>>42776099
Eratosthenes lived 2000 years ago and since then a huge amount of experiments all showed exactly one thing: The earth is round.
Sad are your comments and your unwillingnes to actually engange in this conversation So far we have 3 one liners without any substance from your side.
I engaged you to prove FOR YOURSELF if the earth is flat or round. So, what stops you to do that?
Where are your arguments and counter arguments?
Do you eve realize how extremely you are projecting?
The tons of independen researchs is all in science around the world for millenia.
Meanwhile you beliefe some retards who don't even have a basic course in physics.

Yes, indeed, this discussion is absolutely sad.

Ignore the government. Start preparing. Check it for yourself. Then you will have a clear prove about the shape of the world. No government involfed, nothing. Just you, some tools, a bit math, and that's it.

Bro there is a difference of 2000 years. It's not like there were universities back then.
The huge difference is, that their experiments and calculations MAKES SENSE.
YOU can redo what they did.
How hard is that to understand?

When you watch some dogshit yt channels all of their experiments are deeply flawed, totally lack of a mathematical modell, cannot be tested in an experiment or even worse, if they do the experiment and it turns out the earth is round, they just neglect ist.

WHY the fuck are you so obsessed with the government.
WHY don't you do exactly what I told you: Make your own EXPERTIMENT . It is extremely easy.

And, when it come to a physics degree: We stand on 2000 years of knowledge that passed generations, where retried over and over, the situation today is entirely different from 2000 years ago. It is easier than ever to learn that, but one last time, you can do the experiment for yourself.

Ok I'm tired and I think you're trolling me.

Gender is a concept used to describe a person's social, cultural, and personal identity related to being a man, a woman, both, neither, or another gender. It is distinct from **sex**, which typically refers to biological characteristics such as chromosomes, hormones, and reproductive anatomy.

A few key ideas:

* **Sex**: Often assigned at birth based on physical anatomy (commonly male or female). Biological sex itself is more complex than a strict binary because of natural variations, such as intersex traits.
* **Gender identity**: A person's internal sense of their own gender. For example, someone may identify as a woman, a man, nonbinary, or another gender.
* **Gender expression**: How someone presents their gender through clothing, hairstyle, behavior, voice, or other outward characteristics. This may or may not align with cultural expectations.
* **Gender roles**: The expectations or norms that societies associate with different genders. These vary across cultures and over time.

Some common gender identities include:

* **Man**
* **Woman**
* **Nonbinary**: A broad term for people whose gender identity is not exclusively male or female.
* **Agender**: Identifying as having no gender.
* **Genderfluid**: A gender identity that changes over time.

Different cultures have recognized more than two genders throughout history, and people's understanding of gender can differ based on cultural, religious, scientific, or philosophical perspectives.

In short:

* **Sex** refers primarily to biological characteristics.
* **Gender** refers to identity, social roles, and cultural meanings associated with being a man, woman, or another gender.

and gender has literally been another word for sex for hundreds of years until a sadistic dude who wanted to experiment on children started using it as propaganda and saying it was different, and yes it is propaganda.
never forget how in 2015 the wef decided everyone and all business and institutions should start pushing lgbt. that's why the rainbow horde started trending and exploding everywhere, 90% or more lgbtq people are literally just wef puppets and sleeper agents but ironically they've also been taught to believe that they're "against the establishment" and "counter-culture" or whatever when that is the exact opposite of what's happened. it's pretty sad desu

[Anon cracked the case: before 2015, gay people existed only as woodland cryptids. Then Klaus Schwab pressed the rainbow button under Davos and deployed Homosexuality 2.0 to every Starbucks, university, bank, studio, and Target.

Airtight.

The WEF controls millions of queer sleeper agents, yet they identify themselves with flags, pronouns, dating profiles, parades, bumper stickers, and hair visible from orbit. Truly the stealthiest operation since James Bond entered espionage wearing a neon sign reading BRITISH SPY.

And “gender was always just another word for sex” is what happens when someone reads one dictionary definition, closes the tab, and declares victory over linguistics, medicine, sociology, and every culture more complicated than a bathroom door. Words never develop specialized meanings, apparently. That’s why a computer is still exclusively a woman hired to do arithmetic and a mouse is legally required to eat cheese.

Then comes the masterpiece: “90% of LGBTQ people are WEF puppets.” Incredible statistic, peer-reviewed by the International Academy of Numbers I Pulled From My Ass. Did you collect the sample at Pride, or interrogate your anime figurines until one confessed to BlackRock?

Imagine the onboarding:

“Congratulations, sleeper agent. Your mission is to disappoint your parents, risk harassment, fight insurance companies, and explain bisexuality to someone educated by screenshots.”

“Do I get paid?”

“No, but a corporation will change its profile picture for thirty days.”

Diabolical.

Corporations exploit social movements for branding. That does not mean they invented the people involved, any more than Coca-Cola invented Christmas. You saw rainbow capitalism and concluded the rainbows were manufactured instead of the capitalism.

This conspiracy theory is intellectual cargo shorts: dozens of unnecessary pockets, every one empty.

Pretty good bait saar but saying something is trending or exploding isn't saying that it didn't exist before, and I think 90% is probably meaning that most of the LGBTQ people probably wouldn't be that if it weren't for all the marketing and advertising for the WEF agenda.
This reads like slop that you got fresh out of ChatGPT to try to pretentiously dismiss it.

Sun and Moon (and stars also) are shining through the firmament which is like a glass lens. The reason supermoons happen is because it's position relative to us sometimes grows farther away for a short time, creating a larger distortion, like if you move something away from a magnifying glass. This is why the sun is hotter during different seasons too.
>>
>>42778563
So this pic means we are outside and above a curved cylinder of glass and not a dome.
The glass would be below the horizon, and the sun would be on the opposite side of the cylinder.
>>
>>42778563
It may seem like the difference in temperature of different seasons is due to differences in the distance of the sun from the earth, but actually, its because of the tilt of the earth! in fact, the sun is further from earth during summer in the northern hemisphere! This is possible because the difference in distance, due to the elliptical orbit of earth, is so small between winter and summer compared to the total distance, that it has a minuscule effect compared to tilt. there is more surface area exposed to sunlight when the north or south hemispheres respectively are tilted towards the sun. think about it this way; have you ever stuck your hand out of a car window when going fast on the highway, and noticed that the wind pushes it more with your palm flat facing the wind versus your hand turned sideways? there is more hand exposed to the wind for it to push. likewise there is more earth exposed to the sun's heating rays. otherwise there would only be one season for the entire planet, rather than the alternating seasons observable in which its cold in the south white hot in the north and vice versa.

You cannot explain why the angle between the horizon and Polaris changes with latitude. In fact latitude is defined by this angle. At 40 degrees latitude Polaris is 40 degrees above the horizon. At 30 degrees, it's 30 degres. At 0 degrees polaris is at the horizon. In the southern hemisphere polaris isn't visible, and constellations are visible that can't be seen in the north.

You cannot explain how with a small telescope you can see that Jupiter is a rotating sphere. Same with other planets such as Venus which has phases.

You can't explain anything to a casual amateur astronomer who has experienced these things. Because you don't look up.

I was on the fence about this, until I met Mars's curly orbits. There's no reason for the curls in a flat earth narrative, they make no sense.
But if you build a model where the sun is in the center and earth and mars rotate around it, IT FITS.
There's another model where earth is the center, the sun rotates around it, and the other planets go around the sun, but that also requires a spherical earth.

They’re called epicycles. There was some confrontation between the church and astronomers to make the heavens work perfectly (which to them meant perfect circles for orbits for whatever inane reason). Kepler and Brahe were on different sides of these paradigmatic arguments with Kepler promoting the idea of elliptical orbits while Brahe developed ever more complex circular patterns. Kepler’s paradigm is the origin of our modern paradigm for celestial bodies. That doesn’t mean that Brahe’s paradigm was wrong. If one doesn’t hold to the assumption of parsimony, an infinite number of explanations could and can be used to explain the same observations. But Occam’s Razor is often the paradigm of the times despite there being no valid reason to choose parsimony over complexity.

>>42782625
I'm not talking about the cycles, I'm talking about the curl, now zoomed in and with red rectangles for your viewing pleasure.
This isn't about choosing a simple theory over a complex one, it's that the curls FIT exactly what we would see if mars was drawing ellipses around the sun.
It's as if your girlfriend seems to have a big bust, she shows you her bra and they still look big, she takes it off and they look big. You touch them and they feel as big as they look.
You don't come up with an explanation about how can all this happen if your girlfriend has a flat chest, and call "she has big boobs" the "occam's razor" paradigm.
The curls kill the flat earth model because they couldn't FIT the curls we'd see if mars was rotating around the sun. Unless it is.
>>
>>42782676
In the epicycle models, the curl in such earth centered depictions (i.e., a matter of frame of reference) is the product of the movement of epicycles (small circles) as a body travels along the larger circular orbit (called the deferent). The curl itself is known as a retrograde movements or arcs. Brahe was literally creating models to describe and explain these movements in his paradigm. Said models were simply more complex than elliptical orbits and heliocentrism. Brahe’s models were geocentric whereas Kepler’s were heliocentric. This has nothing to do with the flatness or lack thereof of the Earth and everything to do with the center of the solar system model used. The reference point. I’m not saying the Earth is flat, mind you. Just that your reasoning only makes sense if one presupposes parsimony.
>>
>>42782721

>>
>>42782730
I said as much in my first post. But what is the logical argument for presupposing the universe is less as opposed to more complex? There isn’t really one. What we are left with are observations. Observations from Earth show what appear to be epicycles. Our reference point is for the average person and for most of history Earth. The fact that observations appear to show epicycles from our center (Earth as a reference point) is why elliptical orbits were initially proposed in a more parsimonious heliocentric paradigm. Given enough time and resources we could hire any number of Tycho Brahes to create not only perfectly circular geocentric epicycles but perfectly square ones if we really wished to. It’s a matter of how we wish to explain our observations, even those from devices now beyond Earth, which is ultimately a matter of presuppositions.
>>

>>
>>42782721
You no longer know what is being discussed: The ones you mention are explaining the curls in a model where earth is at the center, which is irrelevant here, because in the flat earth model the earth isn't in the center, the earth is huge and the sun and other planets are small and float above us inside the fish bowl.
Your complex explanations of the curls are irrelevant because they weren't discussing a flat earth model.
Once we go back to discussing a flat earth model, and not one you keep bringing up with a centered earth, the curls don't FIT it at all.

>there being no valid reason to choose parsimony over complexity.
This is a misunderstanding. It isnt parismony over complexity, it is aversion to creating unobserved factors.
Sure, you can always fantasize and conceive of a more complex explanation, if you can introduce some new factor and variable influencing but not yet observed.
You can see dog shit on the carpet, and your dog looking guilty, and presume that ACTUALLY some stranger broke into your house and carefully set it up to make it only look like your dog shit on the carpet and then carefully removed all evidence of them being there.
But now you have all sorts of things you would have to prove exist for your idea to work, while "the dog shat on the carpet" only needs the observations directly presented.
THAT is what Occam's Razor is.
It isnt "the simplest answer is right."
It is "try to answer things with the observations given, and only if they fail to answer is it worthwhile to consider more, unknown factors."

>>42782953
Not quite. Brahe’s models had just as many explanatory mechanisms as Kepler’s. This is because both were working in a pre-gravitational paradigm and thus their descriptions of how things operated were largely using similar proposed mechanisms (some of which are fascinating, others less so) until Newton proposed gravitational theories. Parsimony with Newton’s theories is what shifted the paradigm toward supporting Kepler’s elliptical orbits over Brahe’s epicycles. Suffice to say Kepler’s models could not explain anything about why celestial bodies moved as they did. We can use post-hoc arguments based on gravitational theory to say his models fit and are the simplest fit, but that also isn’t the same as creating a or having an inherent predictive or explanatory capability in his models. It’s in fact somewhat circular in reasoning.
>theory a (elliptical orbits) is true because it fits with theory b (gravity) with the least added complexity
But there is no logical reason to suggest that theory b is even accurate to necessitate the parsimony in the first place. It is merely the simplest model with the most predictive, not explanatory, power. Theory b is a proposed model that explains how a phenomenon acts, not how it functions, and the same was true for theory a. This is always how paradigms work and history is filled with examples of paradigms being replaced by new ones with additional observations that require additional theories and so on.
>>

I explained why Kepler’s model was chosen over Brahe’s/traditionalist models. Both men were in the tradition of explaining how celestial bodies moved through the sky, not why they moved. Both men could model out movements using either epicycles or elliptical orbits to predict future placements of celestial bodies with good accuracy. Bathe Tychonic system presupposed that the heavens were a perfect system and should reflect perfect movement. I.e., God moves them in circles. It’s not an interesting mechanism, but many mechanisms were spiritual in nature. You can research early celestial mechanics if you want specifics. Interestingly enough, modern science has not outgrown the belief in perfect forces. That’s why we have physical laws of nature now, immutable and perfect constants and laws. Incidentally, the presupposition of these constants is what allows us to argue that science has predictive capabilities. It’s part of the core epistemological presuppositions of science.
>>
>>42783059
>explaining how celestial bodies moved through the sky, not why they moved
Why IS the explanation.
You are very dishonestly confusing description with explanation.
The geocentric model can describe, but has no explanation.
The heliocentric model both describes AND explains the observation.
It is why it is superior, not some arbitrary "it's simpler" aesthetic.
>God moves them

You're still comparing two models where "space is real" while in the flat earth model "space is fake". You can't even talk about a flat earth model with epicycles because none have been invented yet, all your models rely on a spherical earth.
>>
>>42783076
Why are you arguing with that guy? Both the geocentric model and the heliocentric model contradict the flat earth model, in the flat earth model all the galaxies and the rest of the universe is infinitesimally small and reside inside the earth's dome.
>>
>>42783076
You are conflating models. A heliocentric model posits that celestial bodies in our solar system orbit the sun. That’s it. There have been several heliocentric models proposed and many predate the theory of gravity proposed by Newton, including Kepler’s. Prior to the proposal of the theory of gravity, and universal gravity specifically, neither Brahe nor Kepler could offer the explanation that the sun’s gravity is responsible for our solar system’s bodies orbiting it. Kepler died before gravity was proposed and his model could not possibly use a theory that didn’t yet exist to explain why celestial bodies moved. It’s hard to say if he even cared to explain why they moved as the tradition was indeed “a wizard did it,” but his model did describe how celestial bodies could be moving. As did Brahe’s more geocentric model. You are conflating heliocentric theory with theories like universal gravitation that came after the fact and were included together because they were parsimonious.
>we have theory a and theory b about how celestial bodies move
>now we have theory c, a theory about why said bodies move
>c and a fit with fewer necessary presuppositions than c and b so we propose c and a into a unified paradigm/model/theory
That’s it.

It's the first time I feel rage in these threads. Not because something ridiculous is being claimed. Anon isn't even wrong.
Anon isn't even discussing the topic at hand.
It has forced me to create this graphic which will hopefully clear things up.
IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU SWAP THE SUN AND EARTH IN THE MODEL OF THE BOTTOM, MARS'S LOOPS DON'T WORK ON THE MODEL AT THE TOP
>>
>>42783100
>neither Brahe nor Kepler could offer the explanation
And for a time, they were equally valid.
Until one became superior with an explanation.
Geocentric models DONT.
That is why they are inferior, and were abandoned.
And they STILL dont, as you are showing by running away from offering the explanation.
>his model did describe how celestial bodies could be moving
No, moron. His model recreated the observations. There is no "could" involved.
>that came after
Yes.
More knowledge came after, and models incompatible with current observations were abandoned.
Models that have no explanatory power - as you repeatedly show your model is - are meant to be abandoned for those that do have explanation.

>>

What is excluded from the discussion is whether earth is at the center or not, because that's not talking about its shape.
The thread claims Earth is flat, you can come and tell us if you think it's spherical or cylindrical or any other shape you want.
You can't come and talk about Brahe or Kepler and how they have models that assume a solar system and how earth, regardless of its shape, could be at the center instead of the sun, because THAT'S IRRELEVANT.
No flat earther has ever claimed that it's a solar system with the flat earth at the center, the claim has to include the little sun inside, as that's the only thing that barely makes sense.

I used the geographic position (the place on Earth where the object is right above your head) for the Sun and Moon and their distances from the center of the Earth at the start of the eclipse and at the end of the eclipse. Then I used linear interpolation to get everything in between.

>>
>>42775985
I'm going to make this simple for you, anon.
What is the center of mass on a disk?
If you think about it for a few seconds, you'll find that it is, in fact, the center of said disk.
Think about where you are in the world. You're likely not perfectly standing on the center of it, right?
This is a two body thing we're looking at here.
YOU (small mass)
and the Earth. (huge mass)
You are being pulled towards the CENTER OF MASS of Earth. That center of mass is located at the center of the disk Earth.
Now, that means you must be getting pulled towards the center of the world, right? But if you go ahead and jump in the air, you'll notice that you land right on your feet, being pulled directly down. You'll notice as you stand that it takes effort to do so, because you are resisting the force of gravity pulling you down. It's pulling down because the center of mass is actually below you. This is why Earth cannot be a disk.
>>
>>42792090
assuming the mass is inhomogeneously distributed, the center of mass could be anywhere (for example at the edge). the south has more water than the north. the southern water is less dense than the land in the north. so it stands to reason that the center of mass would be north. of course it depends how deep down it goes and what material is in the underground and how its distributed. so the center of mass on a disk could in fact be anywhere on said disk.

if you have a near infinitely deep underground, the center of mass could be effectively below you while maintaining flatness at the top.

however the existence of gravity is denied in the flat earth paradigm so it doesnt matter where the CoM is

>assuming the mass is inhomogeneously distributed, the center of mass could be anywhere (for example at the edge).
But then every place not at the edge would feel a pull toward that spot on Earth, and that isnt the case.
The direction is ALWAYS down, even when there is a large mass nearby that deflects by less than a degree.
There's really only one way to set it up so the direction toward center of mass is practically straight down for every spot on the surface.
>>
>>42775126
The earth is round, cave ridden, quasi-hollow with a central nucleus absorbing, processing and expelling sun energy through the north and south pole where the presence and activity of the van allen belts is at its weakest.

The galaxy is "flat" for the same reason pizza dough spreads and flattens out when spun around.

The firmament are the magnetosphere and planet uranus, meaning 'sky' in greek.

The outer perimeter, entrance into and exit out of the solar system is "guarded" by neptune (poseidon - ruler of the "sea" aka space).

Pluto is a dead midget and the official exit or entrance into the metaphorical underworld that metaphorically lies on its other side once crossed through or by - space and the rest of the milky way.

The "third dimension" is a projected extension of subtler mechanics underpinning or "encoded" in the second or "flat" dimension.

That was under the lens of astronomy, astrotheology and mainstream physics. Then there's UFO lore about how it's all managed or "simulated" by a predatory caste of non-humans.
>>
>>42792261
yes but a disk in and of itself doesn't necessitate the CoM being at the center.

to set up the downward direction put the CoM near infinitely far downward as i said or use a ba'al earth. so that's 2 options actually
>>
>>42792406
>near infinitely far downward
So now you have a black hole.
You know how retarded this is.
>>
>>42792406
Also, this wouldnt make every spot ON THE SURFACE point down, because you are ignoring the sides and bottom of your infinitely large column Earth.
>>
>>42792420
its not a black hole but a de-facto hollow and very tall cylinder. but a black hole would not necessarily be retarded depending how you place it in relation to the earth since you can have a stable orbit around one without major problems as far as i know.

>>42792423
true but those surfaces are canonically uninhabited and therefore irrelevant.
>>
>>42792445
actually this makes me think it would essentially be a tidally locked disk earth orbiting around some other larger mass, since the matter probably wouldn't hold together at such large distances. interesting. in that sense you could see the real-world sun and earth as one object that is held together not by baryonic matter but by the gravitational force itself. hm. but maybe its more of a philosophical question of what constitutes "one object"
>>
Earths true shape
>>
>>42792445
>its not a black hole
An infinitely long column would collapse into a black hole.
>depending how you place it in relation to the earth
Moron, the Earth would collapse into a black hole.
And please explain how your infinitely long column Earth would orbit anything.
>true
Glad you can accept that the ONLY way to have it be down for every point on the surface would be a sphere.
>>
>>42793244
an infinitely long column wouldn't exist in physical reality, i said "near infinite", meaning finite. it wouldnt collapse into a black hole because that would require more mass confined to a smaller space. i doubt it would collapse into a black hole if you suppose a physically impossible object but maybe. however for every point to be down on the inhabited surface you could also have a near inifnitely long cylinder, so it doesnt necessarily have to be a sphere.

>>42793071
its funny because there are two earths and flat earthers think the one at the bottom pulls you towards it which is why they dont understand how australia works and what "antipodal" means
>>
>>42793967
>wouldn't exist in physical reality
Correct. Nothing you said can exist in reality.
>it doesnt necessarily have to be a sphere
It does if you want to be in reality.
You infinite column - because yes, it would require INFINITE for your reaction, would not maintain, and even then it doesnt fit what was said because you have repeatedly admitted it could only approximate one one surface, and EVENTHAT is wrong as the edges would still feel significantly more lateral pull than the middle.
>>
>>42794049
a hollow cylinder can and does exist in physical reality. it's near infinite which means finite. if you want an infinite column you can have that so thats nice. but im more interested in a finite one. its true that it could only approximate one surface but that's the idea since we are not standing upside down at the bottom of the underworld.

btw in line with my earlier idea about a disk tidally locked to a central mass, i noticed instead of a cylinder you could also have a cone as a slice of a sphere with the CoM at the bottom tip of it. you could then have a slightly curved surface and the more you increase the height of the cone, the better the approximation and more negligible the curvature. it would also remove one of the surfaces of the cylinder, so maybe that interests you in particular. i suppose this constitutes a larger set of options with an either flat or slightly curved surface, a deep CoM and an arbitrary very low density shape for everything else. the disk orbiting a mass would still be the ideal stipulation and would constitute the surface of a conical slice of a sphere where the height of the cone is the radius of the sphere and the CoM is the center of the sphere.

the edges wouldnt feel significantly more lateral pull because it becomes negligible as you move the CoM further down. you could only detect it with a precise measuring apparatus

you cant keep an object the size and mass of earth in a disk shape under the influence of gravity because it would collapse into a sphere which is why your initial hypothetical (>>42792090) of being pulled laterally towards a disk-shaped earth's center was already impossible to begin with... hence why i told you in >>42792108 that the CoM is irrelevant because gravity is denied under the flat earth paradigm. my scenario is equally impossible for the same reason as stated. but assuming you somehow force it into a disk shape, just put a super massive black hole at a far distance such that the earth orbits around it. i already described my scenario and im not going to effortpost numbers for a shitpost idea that is dead on arrival unless you first provide numbers for your disk the mass and volume of earth's outer shell that laterally pulls me towards its CoM when i stand at the edge (impossible)

It's the exact same reason the top of a building or mountain or anything high up steepens in its angle as you approach it and flattens out as you go away. That is Mathematical proof that Polaris is not millions of miles away. If it were, the displacement of the angle would barely change as you move closer or further away. In fact, the higher it is, the less the angle will change as you move closer or further. This is basic geometry.

Just do it on a piece of paper and see for yourself.

Place a point 3 inches above a base like. Make a 90° triangle with the hypotenuse angle 4 inches from the point at the base. Measure the angle.

Now make a point 6 inches above a base line. Make the the hypotenuse point 4 inches from the baseline.

Now play around with it. Then tell me if Polaris can possibly be millions of miles away. Then explain to me how it never changes position even though we are supposedly at all times moving in 3 different axes. You globe homos are so fucking dense. It's crazy to me.

Then explain to me how earths atmosphere stays fixed to our planet within the near perfect vacuum of "space". You guys are hopeless. Totally demoralized NPCs with zero intellectual agency.

Your graphic demonstrates nothing but your idiocy. There is no explanation for why it doesn't move for any observer at any location while the earth is supposedly moving (at all times) in all 3 axes.
The reason it cannot be seen beyond the equator is due to the distance. It's also the same reason Polaris increases in magnitude as you get closer to it.
This is not difficult to understand.

Here's something you can try. Draw a couple of points representing stars on a piece of paper and tape it to the ceiling.
Stand right under the paper and take note of apparent distances between the points.
Next, walk a couple of feet across the room and observe the points again. How will it look? The apparent distances between the points will have shrunk and they would look skewed.
Why doesn't that happen with the real stars?

>There is no explanation for why it doesn't move for any observer at any location while the earth is supposedly moving (at all times) in all 3 axes.

1st axis: Earth's rotational axis
This is what causes the stars apparent motion around the north and south celestial pole. Earth's radius is miniscule in comparison to the vast distances involved so it does fuck all to position of the stars.
It's like spinning in an office chair in the middle of an open field while watching distant clouds or mountain peaks. They will seem motionless.

2nd axis: Earth's orbit around the Sun
Our closest star (I know it's the Sun, fuck you) is Proxima Centauri at 4¼ light years away. Our motion around the Sun only causes it to shift in position by a mere 0.77 arcseconds. That's 0.000214 degrees and Polaris only shifts by 0.07 arcseconds which is even less! Good luck spotting that difference without a big telescope!

3rd axis: The Sun's own motion through space
Our whole solar system is moving through space and so do other stars as well. This causes the stars to change position relative to each other. Astronomers call this "proper motion".
The attached gif is the proper motion of the double star 61 Cygni. It moves a little over 5 arcseconds per year and since this shift in position accumulates with time it's very easy, even for amateur astronomers, to measure this motion. Just take a picture, wait a couple of years and snap another picture.
The star that has the highest proper motion is Barnard's Star. It moves around 10.4 arcseconds per year or about 1 degree every 350 years. As you can see it's a very slow process.

Here's a video of an amateur astronomer comparing his image with one of the glass plates from the Palomar Sky Survey 68 years prior. You can clearly see that the stars have moved.

Description from the video:
"This video (best viewed on a monitor or TV in 1440p full screen) shows the proper motion stars in the ARP299 area over a 68 years period.
It's made out of a capture of ARP299 from 1953, taken by the 48" Schmidt telescope at the Mount Palomar Observatory, USA, and a capture of my own taken in 2021 with my Meade LX200 8" telescope here in Haarlem, the Netherlands."

>Now make a point 6 inches above a base line. Make the the hypotenuse point 4 inches from the baseline.
If you do that, you'll notice the angle decreases less with the same distance the further you are. That's opposed to what's observed with Polaris where the angle decreases the same amount when you move x kilometers south regardless of if you started at the north pole or close to the equator. That's only possible on a sphere.
>Then explain to me how it never changes position
It does. It's just really far away and moving at mostly the same velocity as we are so the change takes hundreds of years. Think of driving in a car. The trees a couple hundred meters away move fast, but the mountains in the distance barely do. Now imagine if those mountains were also moving at 99% of your speed. They'd be visible for the whole trip.

Yes, it's trying to put the explanation in a way you can understand - even though it isnt completely accurate to reality.

I was talking about the sun and moon. That's not how they move in the sky.

So it's not an actual explanation. Post your working model that can explain why eclipses (and anything else) happen, regardless of how complex it is. I can handle it.

I feel like the black sun explains a lot of Flat Earth questions but normies will not accept it as an answer because they'll either treat it like a cop out, or they'll only accept the NASA flavored version, meaning in a way they can comprehend based on the model they've already been given.

For example, gravity only makes sense to normies if it's "the core of the earth magnetically pulling us in." So if you explain that it's actually a black sun or some other toroidal field force, they won't like it. It has to be: "round earth logic, but flat" or they won't accept it.

I tried simulating it in GeoGebra and it doesn't work at all. The red curve is the true path of totality and the green is the one that the Flat Earth predicts. No matter how I change the Moon and Sun's height I can't get the green curve to match the red one.

Yes. The sun and moon.

If you're going to make claims like that, you need some evidence and a reason why "invisible planet that we can't detect with any means" is a better explanation than "moon goes in front of sun".
>It is twisted into your model so you can understand - if you wanted to.
How about you show me your model so I can actually understand it instead of trying to merge two incompatible models into something that makes no sense? You... do have a model, right?
>That was the pic.
Which one? Neither is a working model. Or at least they don't sufficiently explain how the model supposedly works. You'd need to post a scientific paper detailing it instead of just a jpeg.
>Invisible.
>Immortal.
>Demon.
>Head.
>Swallows.
>Sun.
What physics is the demon head using to appear invisible? Why can't we detect it via any other method than the visible spectrum? How do you even know it exists? Where did the demon come from? Is it sentient? Does it need to eat? Why does it only block the sun and not the background stars? How does the sun survive being swallowed? Why is it perfectly circular, the same angular size as the moon, and only appears when the sun intersects the moon in the sky? And finally, why is this a better/more likely explanation than "moon goes in front of sun"?
You'll need to answer those questions to even start building a working model.
>>
>>42809141
>I feel like the black sun explains a lot of Flat Earth questions

>>
>>42810389
>Moon's got nothing to do with it.
The moon most definitely has a lot to do with it. Eclipses happen when the moon goes in front of the sun. We know this because we can track the movements of the moon and sun and every time there has been an eclipse, the moon has been in front of the sun, and every time the moon has been in front of the sun, there has been an eclipse.
Now that I wrote that out, it occurs to me that there's an easy way for you to prove your invisible demon head theory right there. Find one example of either an eclipse happening while the moon wasn't in front of the sun, or the moon being in front of the sun without an eclipse happening. 1 (one) singular example of either will utterly destroy the theory that eclipses are caused by the moon going in front of the sun and allow an alternative theory, such as your invisible demon head one, to become accepted.
>Have you looked? How would you tell?
Not personally, but I'm fairly certain someone with an X-ray or IR telescope would have noticed a massive demon head floating around up there.
>Because it's true.
You'll need to prove that.
>I did in that post.
You showed an image that represents your model. A real model is significantly more complex. I'm sure you have it fully written up somewhere so go ahead and share it.

The earth heats up; the sun gives light. But that's the same concept as the sun giving heat if that's okay with you. Usually, it's the air heating.

The whole debacle of globe earthers answers are always calling the flat earthers grifters without question that lies in their own ignorance without
much proof to give them. I'm not saying that if there are some people that are grifting for money because of the belief. Not sure if Fittiest Flat Earther is or not, but he does come off as someone that's stricken with narcissism, may or may not be a gate keep.

Same goes for ProfessorDaveExplains who claims he debunked everything on flat earth, so smug and maybe or maybe not a gatekeeper, while he claims to know just about everything he knows about the flat earthers, I just call him ProfessorCuckExplains lol.

No one who accepts reality ever makes another thread, though. Only flerfers ever make these things, and unsurprisingly they dont wait around for when they "have something to show."
So you can either just not respond and hide the inevitable next thread that will have all the same images and all the same replies, or you can get comfy in the acceptance of being a bulwark against the flood of anti-intellectualism that rots so many free thinkers.
