>I start getting uncomfortably obsessed with irl gore

>Cat In The Hat meme pops up out of nowhere that deals with death and/or gore

>Folk Valley trend quickly turns in a gore riddled mess

>Eli Roth soon to release a very gory flick about children getting turned evil and them brutally killing adults

>Ariana Grande makes a uncharacteristically violently and bloody music video

>Perez Hilton Event Horizon's himself while on livestream the same day after talking about Ariana's gorey video and mental health

What tf is going on? Why is gore so popular in 2026? The CITH, Ariana, and Perez Hilton incidents are the most disturbing desu. Like is there a psyop to turn netizens into gorehounds or something?

>NB4

"It was always popular online newfagg!!!"

True, but it feels different this time around. More sinister. More f3tishized.

its all fucked, and you should know its pornography to the brain

Why?

The algorithm is pushing it because they want more people willing to commit violence for the war machine. It also makes people not care about atrocities such as Gaza as much.
>>
>>42784682
desensitization and glorification.

>>42784735

Alot of the war stuff are hoaxes tho.

It was always popular but you are correct in that it was really tuned down for the last 10 years. People want their gore, but they want their arcade Mortal Combat 2 and Half Life style gore. And because of a combination of can't and being too lazy to create artistic or technical gore people just add more gore and call it a day.

I don't think it's a psy-op but if Cannibal holocaust and other such things become popular again then I would start to be concerned.

Israeli war crimes are worse than photos and words can communicate.

I find a lot of video game violence to be silly and fun but in the real world that shit really sucks.

We used to watch gore and gross out stuff in highschool. This was the 'two girls one cup' era of the Internet, and guys would perform a kind of machismo ritual to prove they were tough enough to handle it. It became a weird pride point and I became pretty desensitized. Not sure if it damaged my psychology, but it's certainly unhealthy

that's because you still watch that dogshit, learn to detect when they are trying to get you and filter it out of your life.

I have an oversized ego equivalent to that of half the human populations egos combined, and to avoid ego implosion, I shed off some of the most malevolant parts of it every year or so. I removed the part that was impacted by consuming gore as a child/teen and watching over 15,000 individuals die and just as many be mutilated. It is probably impacting the collective subconcious and driving "people" towards consumption and recreation of such acts. My bad.

Don’t forget jeet death videos posted all over /pol/ and twitter

I’ve seen hundreds of drownings, electrocutions, falls off cliffs, train collisions, animal attacks, etc, and they make me feel joy for some perverse reason. I’d go so far as to say I’m addicted to them.

Whats the cat in the hat meme?
>>
>>42788402

A trend were people were using scenes from the 2003 Cat In The Hat film, adding a disturbing piece of text about violent death or something macabre, typically adding the Gatsu ost from Berserk.

Video about it:

What if alot of the gore is demon generated? I saw a post on Reddit that basically flashed users with a video of a child getting splatted by a falling tree/tree limb without NSFW filter. Remained me of Smile.

anyone got information about this?
