I hate everything about my life. I have a very vivid imagination and sometimes I unconsciously start daydreaming about alternate realities or whatever and it becomes extremely real and then I come back to my actual physical reality and I get really depressed. Has anyone experienced something similar?

is reality shifting even possible? I think its just a massive cope from people that cant deal with their shitty life circumstances
I do sometimes feel extremely dissatisfied with my life and am gripped by an intense existential dread... It doesn't tend to last long but it is always very distressing... Like a forceful tug from my inner self telling me "you're just wasting away and not achieving anything meaningful to you", it's almost panic inducing at times... Somehow though I still have hope that I can turn my life around... I don't know where I get this from but for the entirety of my life there has always been a part of me that flat out refuses to give up hope, no matter how harrowing I feel, and has kept me from slitting my wrists many times....
