A personal almighty, eternal, all-knowing God doesn't make sense to me, that wouldn't be a being compareable to a human personality in any way. But a powerful deity would basically just a bigger version of a human. Smarter, older, stronger, but not fundamentally different. The Demiurge would be such a being. So I can imagine that a powerful deity created Earth and it's biosphere. Such a being could also be called an alien, it's not the source of the universe, it just made this Earth.
