Anybody here ever practice Zhineng Qigong? It was very popular in China during the 90's. The head honcho (pic related) opened up an institute at some point where they did energy healing and apparently it was extremely successful
Here's a video of zhineng dudes dissolving a tumor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpBA8giwKY0
Maybe it's bullshit, but it's more proof that other qigong system can muster up, so I thought it would be worth looking into.

man i wish that shit was real, i'd eat roots and practice martial arts everyday

Energy healing is an evil practice. Not in the sense of evil magic, but in that it kills people because it doesn't work.

Never go down the energy healing path if it involves serious shit like tumors. People will feel hope and then die because they believed in some wacky shit instead of going through a real treatment.

Except all the cases where "real treatment" didn't do shit and condemned people to death, only for them to recover through alternative modalities.

Bullshit, they would have recovered if they did nothing. People are all the time recovering from low probability of survival situations, combine that with an eventual guy that instead of doing nothing does some wacky magical shit and wow! The wacky magic worked! (doing nothing would have worked too)

Well yeah, if you conjure up an unfalsifiable situation in your head then you can justify anything.

The miraculous magic is the unfalsifiable bullshit that kills people. Doing nothing being the thing that saved them is the most simple and logical explanation, as that happens all the time, people just get better under low survival probabilities, most of the times without any magical shit.

That would have been during the qigong boom. Initially tolerated if not actively promoted by the ccp at a time when it was too costly to provide modern medicine to all of china. It came to an abrupt halt and a subsequent crackdown after qigong groups like falun dafa got bigger than the state wanted

Random woman (that practices zhineng) restoring a cracked egg. Looks pretty convincing.

huh that explains all the rhino penis and stuff.. is that still a problem?

That briefly went away with the introduction of viagra to china. Then china had an economic boom and exotic medicines became a way to flaunt your newly acquired wealth
