So back in 2016 in China, some people trying to get an Uber would be met with a weird/creepy face after trying to confirm the exchange.Supposedly this was so the user would cancel, out of fear, and the scamers would get a cancelation fee from Uber. Even if the user did not cancel, the scamers would mess with the GPS to make it look like they completed the job, when in reality the customer went nowhere and still had to pay. Here is video about it:https://youtu.be/ycXLXg087Sg?is=0RhevdYF9_uPEsowNow, my gut is telling me something is off. Like, imo, this tactic is not realistic.Like how tf would they think to do this instead of just lying about something to have them cancel or something like that instead. Also, there were GPS anomalies that would not track with this scammer theory. Like the GPS showed some of them going through buildings. This is obviously a red flag, given you do not drive through them usually, hence the scamners would not have it look like they were faking it, and would have it stay on the road.My theory is it either really was some demonic crap going on or it was a weird experiment by a hidden organization involving the unwittingly involved public. What are your thoughts about this anons? Thanks in advance as always!
Chinks are known to scam people and the people that are meant to monitor scams don't care enough to stop it unless it will somehow go back to them in some way.
>>42826904I don't think it's that deep, the Photoshops are certainly unnerving though
I don't remember the exact details but this vaguely reminds me of when some Uber driver from a northern US state had his phone "possessed" by a demon that forced him to kill someone or something similar. I wonder what was up with that.
>>42827035 It was the Kalamazoo shooting, Justin Dalton was the perp. Happened in 2016 too.
>>42827035Half the shit posted migga is shit like OP. But one part of that story is creepy as fuck. He said something like randomly when he was driving the uber app was replaced with satanic sigils and then he entered sicko mode basically. The mental image of it being some demonic eldritch shit is spoopy. Probably just schizo or an excuse tho
>>42827065Thanks.>>42827175YEAH I remember a comment about the app showing a bunch of signs and shit. Kinda spooky as it could happen to anyone at any point in time for any reason. What would you do if you phone just started acting fucking crazy?
>>42827035>>42827065>>42827209if you read the wiki page the guy basically was going through a midlife crisis or something in his 40s, tried applying to different police jobs (presumably to try and do justified killings on the job, he had anger issues)>A former coworker of Dalton's at the insurance company recalled seeing Dalton yell at a customer over the phone, slam the phone down, and pace around the desk angrily afterwards.>In an interview, another customer reported an encounter with Dalton in which he called him back over to reexamine a vehicle for damage Dalton missed in his appraisal. He described Dalton as unprofessional and prone to anger.>According to an old friend, Dalton had tried to seek a job as a police officer in Michigan or in nearby states, but was unable to, and had no interest in moving far away to find a police job.Like I said, he just wanted to kill people as a police officer, he couldn't get hired and didn't want to leave his family, so he did uber until he snapped and went on a spree. His defense is also bullshit and makes no sense.
>>42829503IDK, still weird both this and the ghost Uber incident went down on the same year.
.
>>42826904Very cool and interesting find based migga.
>>42833006Thanks!
>>42826904Not paranormal.Yes, a GPS spoofer can make you appear anywhere, even inside buildings or a lake.Yes, Uber back then used to be very, very protective of the driver instead of the rider so doing silly atuff like that would indeed give the driver a cancelation fee and a middle finger to the rider. It was things like this scam and things going too public which made them change things around and nowadays, drivers are less than trash and Uber only cares about riders.
