All cities and towns have urban legends
have you ever had an experience related to an urban legend from the place where you live?

I am an urban legend. A tranny who fights and wins here in the South. A legitimate psychic. Amnesiac schizophrenic genius who never thinks before I speak because I used to take that Christian bible verse seriously, infinitely more seriously than all this Earths history of Christians put together. Tall attractive furry who still managed to mostly have disadvantageous alterations I won, out strenghthed, out sped. More charitable and honest than the Christians are who know me, frankly the rest too. For over a decade powerless cowardly meth addict losers handstand me only to realize they wanted their time and looked like fools. Investigated them and now with nothing coming of it, the CIA and other world agencies watch my every move and try and fail to interrupt my every plan. It's been months since the world were warned they'd have to stop communicating their disease like evil and they kept whimpering, it's been months since I've even considered cooperating with them on the slightest things as I warned as punishment. They watch their nations mutate because they wouldn't close their clam holes.

Yep, I think I told about it here a couple years ago.
When I was a kid there was a rumor about a murder that had happened long ago at the pond of the village, a young couple was in a car, a mad man attacked them and killed the guy. There were various details that probably were added later, like he cut the head of the guy and knocked on the window of the car with it to terrorize the girl and stuff.
Later when I was around ten there was a weird creepy old man that sometimes talked to us on our way home, then he disappeared.
Then adults told us: the killer from the old pond murder story had been freshly released, had been back to the village, but had been arrested and taken back to the mental institute after he chased someone in the street with a butcher knife. They described him and where he lived, and it was the creepy old man that had talked to us a few times.

Posting because I miss these sorts of threads.

Near me, and I live in Wales, there is a castle near cliffs. It is said that staying there overnight leads one to be cursed by a sort of Welsh Banshee, a Gwrach y Rhibyn. It's very banal stuff. But, still, when I went there alone one January afternoon, with no one around, I felt eyes on me, as if waiting for me to leave. Even a crow watched as I left, staring intently. Later I read that crows were a supposed form of the Gwrach y Rhibyn. I admit it's not riviting but to me I left there feeling as if I were watched the whole while.

Then once, while visiting near there I walked through a park containing a bronze or iron age burial chamber. To be honest, it being reconstructed and so on, I felt nothing. No bones there and nothing especially eerie about it, it's some stacked stones set up in the last 40 years on a guess. But nearby there there is also a certain cave, supposedly where bodies were prepared for burial. Now, I can't imagine it being especially scary in the day, but it was getting to evening. As I approached it I felt like I wasn't meant to be there, not at that time of day, that no one should be there when the sun had started to set. It felt freaky, I was sure I was followed back the whole while, I thought there footsteps behind me, despite there being visibly nothing behind me. After it I was unlucky for several months.

Anyway, I doubt either are scary as such, still... I hope at some point that I can experience something more. Well, eventually, eh?

>There’s this abandoned house in my neighborhood
>It has been abandoned since I have memory.
>When I was really young, we used to hang out near it, it was spooky and that was fun
>This one night we found the door wide open, it was really dark inside.
>We could only see thanks to the orange glow of the street lamps, even then we could only see so much
>The room in front of us had a wooden floor with thick planks, some of them were broken
>The place was full of spider webs; they were caked in old dust. They hung like rotten clothes from the ceiling, broken furniture, and corners.
>The air was warm and thick, with a strong smell of old wood, it was uncomfortable to breath it.
>Being dumb children, we got the idea of daring each other to enter the place.
>Eventually one of the boys entered. He got a few steps in, and bolted out as soon as he heard a creak.
>We laughed a lot after that, and keep daring each-other. Everyone got inside at least once that night.
>Eventually the first boy to enter went-in again.
>This time though, he didn’t instantly run away. He walked inside all the way to one of the doors by the left of the room, and reluctantly stepped in.
>He did not come out again.

>Next day we got a call from our neighbors asking if BoyA had stayed the night in our house.
>A few days later I saw some police officers breaking into the abandoned house...
>BoyA’s face started showing-up in the missing persons segment in our local TV station…

>We didn’t ever see BoyA again.
>Only a few of us kept hanging out by the abandoned house, until one night.
>We heard faint sobs coming from within the abandoned house. That’s when we stopped coming to the place altogether.

The most I can say aside from it is how the old school building, built around the Edwardian era if not earlier, belonging to one of the 'posher' schools originally, was known for supernatural bullshit. A blood relative of mine was a student there way back when. She used a spirit board, something normally very obviously fake, but she claimed the windows burst by themselves around those participating. When I was a kid she became near-fanatically religious and against all occult. I still don't know what happened besides that, or why that setting would be any more prone to spiritual activity than any other setting.

That said, there was evacuations after a mini-Blitz during the War. Half the city-centre was flattened. Of course, it could just be shitty LARPing since she is devout. Still, that area always felt weird. I hated time spent in it, I hated walking any distance home from there. It just felt dangerous.

Story time! Hell's Bridge in Rockford, Michigan. This story is copy pasted from a news article because I'm fucking tired and don't want to type.
>According to Click on Detroit, in the mid-1800's, an older man named Elias Friske lured local children to this location and murdered them. When the children’s families realized their kids were missing, some townsmen organized a search party to enter the woods and look for them. Not wanting to leave their other kids unattended, they left kindly (so they thought) Mr. Friske in charge of babysitting.

With the excuse he didn’t want any of the kids wandering off, he tied them together with rope and off to the woods they went. Once at the location where the bridge is now, the kids noticed a rotting smell and told Mr. Friske. In answer, Friske uncovered a pile of leaves and branches that revealed the source of the smell: the bodies of the other missing children. The kids began screaming and yelling for help but Friske was prepared; he had taken the kids in the opposite direction of the search party so the screams of horror could not be heard.

One by one, he killed the children and dumped their little bodies into the Rogue River. Later, when the townspeople realized their kids and Friske were missing, they did another search that took them to a scene of horror: the bodies of their children in the water. Continuing their search for Friske, they found him covered in blood, saying it was the devil that coaxed him into the killings. The search party grabbed the rope that Friske had used to tie the kids with and used it to hang him near a nearby stone footbridge. The rope snapped, his body floated downstream, and it was never found.

>Now the legend says if you go out there after Midnight, you can hear evil laughter emanating from the other side of the river and you can see the faces of the children in the water. On top of that, witnesses claim they’ve seen glowing red eyes in the woods and on the bridge, along with hearing sounds of childrens’ screams & laughter.

>The stone bridge where Friske was hung was replaced by the current metal footbridge.
There are skeletal river weeds that look like hands reaching for help

I've been there myself a few times, both during the day and night, going at night is much more fun of course. This legend is pretty well known to people in West Michigan. Pic related a picture I took of the bridge.

Yeah, my high school was cursed. In the 1980's some cheerleader rejected some nerdy guy so he shot and killed her in the parking lot after school. Every year afterwards exactly 1 senior died every single passing year until finally they just shut down the school and built another one a few miles away.
>>
not yet, but i know of a place with confirmed grey sightings. might drop in to say hi one of these days.
>>
I know that's a replacement bridge but how could you hang someone from such a low bridge? It's just a creek.
