Who else even has an actual system of magic that is intelligible. There is him and Carrol the chaos magic guy and pretty much everything else is gobbledygook. Even if he was a bit of a fraud he at least delivered something of substance and there are certainly nuggets of value in there. Particularly his parts about auto-suggestion were some of the most useful and powerful of anything I have read. I also found it funny how much he would talk about not falling asleep when doing exercises or meditating. You just know this fuck had sleep apnea or something.

The first few exercises with the mirror look genuinely useful. Even if the entire thing was bullshit, I could picture someone get something out of it, but when he started ranting about fireballs and pic related I entirely lost interest. As for his obesity, well, aside from the fact that wouldn't fly so good, it really clashes with the discipline his system requires. Giving Crowley a pass is fine but Bardon not so much. But really the thing that turns me off the most is that he never sources his claims.
