The most bizarre mandela effect of all time is when Flintstones became Flinstones when CERN activated then immediately became Flintstones again when CERN deactivated.

Surely some of you remember? During that time you could post somewhere "Wtf how is Flintstones Flinstones now?" and almost every reply would be like "it was always Flinstones, you only thought it was Flintstones because they're in the stone age so you associated with with Flint". Then immediately after it reverted all those discussions disappeared from the internet and when people said "Wtf Flinstones just became Flintstones again?!?" you'd be bombarded with replies "It was always Flintstones dummy because it's the stone age therefore Flint + Stone. Flinstones doesn't even make any sense dummy!"
>>
Another bizarre aspect is that all Flintstones images, videos, etc, all said "Flinstones" during that time. Whether you google imaged it, watched youtube, the actual show, you name it. Then after it flipped back to Flintstones the T in flint became obnoxiously oversized as if to say "fuck you" to anyone who noticed it became "Flin" for a few months.

Around here, it was always Finstones, and then it changed to Flintstones, the flip flop happened later, and a r/edditor claimed that he could read Flinstones with one eye and Flintstones with the other one when going cross-eyed.
It was used as the example for ongoing mandela effects, that they don't happen at the same time for everyone, that there are people right now seeing Flinstones that will have it change to Flintstones next week, and others that will live the flip flop in the future.
But we're stuck seeing it have two t's from now on.

It's called a flip flop. Froot Loops became Fruit Loops and then back to Froot Loops again.
>>
>>42886767
yeah i specifically remember when this one happened too
>>

I thought it was always froot loops and the mandela effect people thought it was fruit loops. Is Looney Tunes still Looney Tunes, or did it become Looney Toons?

>>
>>42886788
For me at least it was always Looney Tunes.
>>
in 2026 now the problem is all this shit happened so long ago the memories actually are fading and getting mixed up. sure would be neat if whatever caused the ME happened again creating a bunch of new ones suddenly.

weird how deniers dont find it suspicious that all ME's popped up in the same 10 year period but never before and never after.

i would love to wake up tomorrow and all the grass is purple and NPCs are like "grass was never green!" it would be exciting. reality is getting too stale.
>>
>>42886077
Your memory is as bad as ever. It was always FlintStones. Flin is not a stone. Flint is. The alleged Mandela effect was that they added a T, not that they dropped it

Had to have been long before that.
It's always fun to watch these ideas slowly travel through time.

>it happened in the 10s
the time it happened always seem to correlate right when the person talking about was in their teens.
Isnt that fun?

Looney Tunes was an offshoot of Merrie Melodies.
Both were deliberately misspelling the first word.

Then why did MAD print this?
>>42887834
What sense does the emphasis and the title make?
>>
>>42891949
>Then why did MAD print this?
Nta. It's because MAD has always been about satire. Their use of "flinstones" there was in the same spirit of mockery. The satirist in this instance (frank jacobs) was making fun of both the cartoon and of how the idiots around him tended to mis-enunciate its name. And frankly, it wasn't hard to notice how lazily everyone spoke the name, so that it came out like "flin"stones.

Perhaps your biggest evidence that the printing of "flinstones" was meant as a mocking of the how the name was commonly spoken, RATHER than of picrel being a (very dubious) survivor of some timeline where "flinstones" was the actual name, lies in the skewering of another word, "every," which presently becomes "ev-ry." As if to remove any last doubt that the author is basically calling all of you people retards, the word "flint" is repeatedly emphasised in bold font; much like how some grammar freak online nowadays will caps-lock the true spelling of word when quoting a person, in the hope that he'll notice and correct his ways; altogether making it clear that this frank jacobs man wanted the readers to take notice that they, too, sound like fucking morons.

At least it should be clear. I'm drunk as shit right now and probably just talking over your head.

I dont know anything about cartoons but the Smurfs have always seemed like a satanic cartoon to me i always have dreams about those damned blue demons having pagan elements i think thats what makes it resonate more

What you said is blatantly wrong.
The title is not the parody.
The song is.
that's why it is different in the song than in the title.

You can be pedantic about it. Either way - the title is as the show. The song is what is deviating.

You remember it biting the side of its hand with haunting eyes? I always remembered his hand curled under his chin with his fingers curling back and facing his neck as a kid. I thought it was just misremembering based off of some pop culture reference when I first learned he was literally chewing on the side of his hand. Now it’s a bit more like I remember but he is resting his gross inflated lips against his knuckles. Very undignified. Almost a mockery of thinking. Apparently people remember his hand on his forehead but I never saw that version.

it probably has a lot to do with the "ntst" sound (not) blending in well with the english language. there aren't thousands of words in the dictionary that contains that "ntst" letter combination. it's just in our nature to slur letters and words together so it rolls off the tongue. kids would pronounce it "nst" and that has to do with lack of knowledge of the spelling of flint-stone and apply that with even knowing what flint/stone represents. couple this with how literate we are, and how our memories tend to fade as we age. and then the entertainment industry has a history of canceling and bringing back shows and other media "updated" with new cool fonts and additional taglines. this is why we are where we are at with our memories. new slang, new spellings, new meanings---just poof, gone, replaced. it's all just a game to get the generation gaps arguing over dumb bait. and we are all just dumb bait.

There was also 'froot loops' and 'houston we have a problem' flip-flop.

I lived for like 1 1/2 months in the “the human spider” universe, where everyone I knew and the whole internet called Spider-Man “the human spider” and Roy Jay existed and was a meme in 2011-2012 and the alien pic was literally just from a link on the old sticky

Interesting case. It's not just a letter or a detail, it's a big difference in the name of a very famous character. It must feel weird to experience this.

However to me "the human spider" would be more spider than human, like that joke.

I have a strong memory of my mother taking me out to the balcony of my grandparents' 12th floor flat in Zagreb and showing me a blue moon. I wasn't particularly excited about it but she said "they have a saying, 'once in a blue moon', that shows just how rare this is!"

A couple of months ago there was a blue moon and my astronomy app told me that it's not literally blue but just called that for traditional astrological reasons

So naturally I called my mum and she said "no you have a false memory, there's no such thing as a literally blue moon"

?????

Next you'll be telling me my memory of a red super moon over the skies of Istria was fake too
