I read from Guénon that angels are basically the semitic equivalent of the gods, that they share similar characteristics (think especially of the higher ones like the Archangels) and that both are created/emanated from the One Supreme Being (God).In case some christians just plainly believe that what we call gods are demons, don't forget that even the demons themselves are fallen angels.Do you know of any books or articles from which I can further read on this topic? angels are the shining ones or the devas, they come from the spirit realm that can be accessed by dreaming. it is possible to become a shining one yourself too.

Angels generally are considered an entirely different category because Christians have weird concepts on souls.Christians will also sometimes say angels have no free will, or at least a different one than humans have, and devas are not like that.
