Pic related, looking at old photos/media/technology from the 50s has always gives me an uneasy feeling. I remember it was like this when I was a kid too, it's like there is something dark hidden behind the often pleasant imagery you will see associated with that era.
>>42888610>Does the 1950s give anyone else a sinister/creepy feeling?I don't get that at all. If you watch any 1950's, it's all wholesome good stuff.
>>42888736Yeah it's called a veneer, bud.
>>42888610All the modern evil stuff began (or got big) in the 50s. Mockingbird, mk-ultra, bio weapons, nuclear, "ufo's", computers, tv, big pharma, central banks and the "united nations".
>>42888753>Yeah it's called a veneerHello buddie, can you explain that more?
>>42888610Yes I feel it too but I am not white so their culture all seems naturally icky. You are also brown I assume?
>>42888610It was the ribbon cutting era of the infiltration. Post war, lies intact, enemies destroyed and occupied.See >>42888768This is not a coincidence. It's them being in power.
>>42888610Marylin Monroe and Elvis were considered scandalously breaking the moral fabric of society at the time. So yeah the people we look back on now and think they are wholesome were actually rebellious from the white Christian nation america wasEvery generation has its own battle with evil, and celebrities and politicians and musicians are not ussually the good guys
>>42888610>I remember it was like this when I was a kid too, it's like there is something dark hidden behind the often pleasant imagery you will see associated with that era.you were taught to feel that way about the 50s by hollywood and your social studies teacher
>>42888610Yeah>inb4 some rightoid npc calls this "based"
>>42891295/thread
>>42891586So it was a society where people like me where not oppressed? BASED!!!
>>42891632You aren't oppressed in modern day either you whiny bitch.
>>42891586Millennials and Gen X have lower expected life expectancies compared to those born in the 1950s. Despite the prominence of lead and asbestos. Despite smoking being on the decline. Supply for healthy foods and resources has not kept up with burgeoning demand. Labor prospects are fewer and more competitive than in past eras. Microplastics and additives have unknown effects on the human body. The poor of modern generations have less purchasing power and less ability to acquire proper resources than prior generations. To many the 1950s look uncomfortable simply because of how prosperous and content, relative to modern generations, the people were.
>>42891056WTF no. How dare you?
>>42888753Yeah it's called you're a redditor, go back, bub.
>>42891699Well put.
>>42888610Various forms of media have subverted the Rockwellian image of the 50s. They like to use it as a Juxtaposition where you have the ideal life, all white community where Everyman is a family man, trophy wife, couple of kids, white picket fences, grilling and fishing on the weekends classic Americana, then you subvert it, you throw in government intrusion into the community, a rampant underbelly of cruelty, alien interference, robotic wives, some kind of hidden caste system, the fear of nuclear annihilation, or some kind of eldritch horror hidden within. Basically the idealized image of the 50’s is so strong and all the subversive media is so prevalent that you mind is programmed to look at idealized Americana and see hidden evil
Has anyone seen this man?
It happens to me more with the 70s i feel like that era was cursed and the current era is also another cursed era
>>42888610No, but the 20s were pretty creepy.
>>42891056Good bait.
>>42888610It's even earlier. Old cartoons for example have this dreamlike feeling that is very creepy... Makes me think the spirit world is very much like an old cartoon or something
>>42888610you fell for the psyop
