As for the demonic and their intellectual capabilities or "secret knowledge" that could be true but I've only experienced summoning these forces using bloodmagick and sigils and it didn't end well for me so in my opinion I wouldn't be surprised that they have intelligence but what I do know is that they aren't loyal nor have any sense of honor or morality. You can think of these demons as similar to "someone you meet in an allyway" where everything is contingent on offerings and what not. If you don't uphold your end of the "deal" than these demons will immediately turn against you and essentially mess with you for loosh (ex: nightmares, sleep paralysis, possession; to name a few)
