Big box stores are enormous, warehouse-like centers, carrying enormous inventories.

Yet many have relatively little foot traffic compared to their size, and they exist in small communities.

Meanwhile, local mom-and-pop shops struggle to survive.

We assume the purpose of the big box is to make money by selling things. But what if the "chains" are what the name suggests, part of a controlled economic system - they function not for profit.

Money is created. The question is where does it go? How is it removed?

We are to believe that these enormous stores, with their enormous overhead and inventory, are there to make a profit?

What if they are not there to make a profit, but a method of control?

Here's how it works: The BigBoxMart that exists in East Bumfuck, Idaho is a wholly owned subsidiary of BigBoxMart Inc. BigBoxMart Inc makes its money by selling shit to its captive market of BigBoxMarts across the country, not you or I. So if the East Bumfuck BigBoxMart loses money, the Corporation has already made its profit.

Food (and some other goods) are donated to local charities (for the tax writeoff). If too badly damaged to be donated, it is destroyed for a lesser writeoff.
