Are they getting rid of pennies just so that we normies can’t find lucky pennies? Are they gatekeeping penny luck?
>>42899262Pennies are the best. Hoard all your good luck pennies and when the time comes just drop them for people to find. Be the change you want to see in the world.
According to my dad my grandpa would always say that there’d eventually come a day where we’d no longer bother to bend over to pick up pennies left on the ground. For most people, that time has come.
>>42899645I ignore anything under $1 and even that is pushing it
>>42899262you can smelt them and make bulletsthat's why they are worth more than paper money
>>42900282Anything after 83 is only like 2.5% copper at best. The rest is a zinc core. 1900s pennies up to 83, depending on minting, are about 95% copper with the rest being zinc or tin. Anything before 82 is fine except for the steel penny. I won’t say that zinc rounds are worthless, but the less schizo answer is that copper prices have made pennies worth more as scrap than as currency for a long time now. That’s nothing to say of the costs of actually minting currency these days. What really sucks is that the pennies from 83 are being increasingly taken out of circulation for exactly those reasons. I liked to make copper acetate using those pennies, distilled vinegar, and hydrogen peroxide.
Big tech needs copper. Cant let goycattle have a most valuable resource. Not for a cent at least. Bitch needs to go up.
>>42899645>>42900274Some professor calculated it out a while back and you have to make something like $60/hour before picking up a penny is no longer worth your time from a mathematical perspective. For your sake I hope you make more than that but those are the numbers
>>42900387Nope. It is between $12 and $36 depending on how long you estimate picking up the penny to take. $12/hr if you estimate 3 seconds to notice and pick it up. $36/hr if you estimate one second. (He-he’s fast!)
>>42900372Isn’t it funny that copper and brass have long been significant to ritualistic magics and spiritual systems related to metaphysics? The more things change, the more they remain the same.
>>42900365i got a heap of pre-1983 pennies.
>>42899262Everything has been a rugpull to oportunize. Supposedly nobody will want them, but when thousand/million dollar pennies are in circulation it makes people less likely to check the ones they have, but when the moment comes suddenly they'll matter for a hot minute before the bread or circus shifts people's attention to something else.
>>42899262We haven't had pennies here for ages so it's just the lucky 5c coin now ;(
>>42899262fun schizo theory.the reality is much more grim.

>>42900669>the reality is much more grim.spill it out for us, i'm bored and need a good spoop
>>42900365That's the problem. They used to clip coins in the olden ages when they didn't know how to fuse metals. In the current age, we can create all kinds of metal ore combinations via layering. Now they HOLLOW OUT the money to debate it.If a penny was still 100% copper, the money would be stronger
