>In school>go into main hall> look above>5 floors tall, each floor has bridges connecting the floors together>at least 20 bridges>on each side are normal hall ways that lead to offices and classes>bottom floor so I head to the stairs >the stairs were super wide, could fit 20 people shoulder to shoulder>suddenly the bell rings >a tsunami of other kids come running out>they're pushing me and each other around to get anywhere>every single floor is like this>a couple kids are pushed off the bridges or down the stairs>get knocked down go the floor a couple times>manage to get out>come back with a shotgun>the tsunamis still happening>start unloading shells into the crowd>dream logic so I never have to reload.>all I hear is screaming of fear and pain.>blood is smeared on the floors and people>nobody can escape, everyone's trying to go a different direction>eventually I clear the bottom floor>exhausted for some reason>hear the cops coming>trudge my way to a bathroom>theres some other people in there>too tired to give a shit>collapse to my knees>bring the shotgun to my chin>the barrel slips>I pull the trigger>lower jaw is blown clean off along side most of my face>brain is fully intactFor the rest of the dream I sit on my knees with my skinless forehead resting on the floor. I feel the pain, fully, but I'm not waking up. Eventually it just becomes a numb pain. I'm still so horrifically tired so all I do is sit there and wait for the dream to end. It eventually ends when the police find my body and realize I'm still alive>wake up>look at time>I've been asleep for 18 hoursIts been a year since I've had this dream and I simply can't make heads or tails of it. I'm not usually one to really think about the significance of dreams but it stuck with me so bad. That combined with how long I slept just makes me think something important happened that night, I don't know what.
cool
>>42900534I once had a dream of a baby falling apart of my hands and sliding into the garbage. The message felt external. I can't really explain it. Why? It was so vivid...

>>42903474Not OP but I'm 34 years old and sometimes have dreams where I'm back in high school.
My guess is that as a teenager, you were overwhelmed by social pressures. In the dream you're literally overcome by the masses: the fear of other kids judging you or the pressure to conform to not get judged. An unfortunate thing about culture in the last few years is that a school shooting expresses inability to fit in. It doesn't mean you actually want to commit a shooting; it's a symbolic way of reacting. But then you end up feeling empty after the deed. I guess you worry the outcast path isn't all that fulfilling either. It doesn't have to be a bad thing. Maybe it's your adult self trying to resolve the way you felt back then, maybe even clear it out so you can fully meet the socially freer adult world without that second-nature worrying about "popularity" holding you back.
