It actually says they are destroyed, and that the destruction is what is eternal (cause they're gone forever). The only thing that is eternal is the smoke rising up from Hell, which is still possible because of the unsaved being burned up one after another, since people still die every day. It's from different people over time.Either way, still wouldn't want to go there, get saved people, believe in Christ.
