oops, hunger also controls sprinting
changing one rule moves several other systems at once
start thinking about systems instead of mechanics

idea:
any system can be a subsystem of a larger one

I call the rule that moves from one system to a larger one the "transductive machine"

asking "where is T?" may be a category error, like asking where multiplication is physically located

what about God?

if God is treated as a system, my model gives no reason for God to automatically be the final system

imagine consciousnesses forming a relational space X
beliefs, rituals, memories, actions, etc.

what if "God" is more like a hole in that structure?
not an object filling the hole, but an absence defined by everything organized around it
