>Now I lay me down to sleep,I pray the Lord my soul to keep;If I should die before I wake,I pray the Lord my soul to take.Amen.

Am I the only one who thinks this prayer is suspicious? It objectively sounds like selling your soul to an demonic entity

Anon you think everything is a demonic entity.

it is kind of sus , specially with the theories that their is a demon specifically made to look like [insert correct nature of god here] , that props up once in a while.

I think the idea is more so that you are both swearing loyalty , but also telling god to please not let anyone else take your soul, but this sounds more pagan in nature than monoteistic.

Unless you think of some malevolent demon when you say "the Lord", then you are wrong.
Do you think that?
when you pray to "the Lord" - is your mind conceiving something you consider evil?
