Schizo here, been walking around my neighborhood for the past 20 years
>day walks
>night walks
>smoke at the park

I grew up in this neighborhood, and it's very quiet. It's the suburbs. I hardly see my neighbors. This feels strange to me. all I really observe is my neighbors arriving home, getting out of their cars, and going inside, or leaving for work

What does /x/ think about this? i never even seen my neighbors bring in shopping, I seen some of them doing their gardens, but its really weird 90% of the time

Fellow /nightwalker/ and /latesmoker/ here. Similar situation: nice suburb I have spent many years living in. I’d say really things are most different after covid. It’s like everyone just holes up in the evenings and life is over until morning.
I’m not at all discounting your other observations, just haven’t really noticed much more than the reclusiveness of others myself.
My favorite thing to do is look for particularly spooky places at night and ideally during witching hour. There’s a pretty malevolent something or other that occupies an old Episcopalian church a couple miles from me. It’s only noticeable at night but it’s VERY fucking intense. It’s clearly location bound but I’m thinking about trying to capture it.

do food delivery for awhile and you'll realize how many pathetic leeches exist. they go to work and hide in shame until they have to do it all again. Then again, I highly doubt most of these people are working at all. many look like they never leave at all

Same in my old neighborhood except for the going outside part. It felt like no one ever would sell their home or move. Nothing would ever change. Then one black couple bought a home and nearly every home in the neighborhood went up for sale within the next five years. The whole neighborhood was replaced just like that.

Yes I'm sure it certainly had to do with the black couple.

Tell me more please anon, what sort of malevolent thing? How does one capture such a thing?

I’m not sure exactly what it is. Most entities, spirits, whatever you’d want to call them seem to me to either be a dead human or formerly human in some other way. Not so sure about this thing because it’s just so dark and seethes SO hard. People use the word seething on this site but goddamn this thing in the church just oozes hate that feels like it could melt holes in the street. It might be older than the church, I’m not sure about that either. Unfortunately since it’s inside and only at night it would be hard to investigate. I’ve been careful during my current visits. It appears to be bound to one room within the church, actually, but with this thing I’m not fucking around in case it is bound to the entire building or worse, entire church grounds instead. Also its ability to be on any consecrated grounds over any length of time is concerning.
As for capture, you know how a spirit can inhabit a vessel, like a doll or old mirror? Ideally, it’s already inhabiting an item that I could acquire and then just seal/suppress. If that’s not the case and it has no vessel, I guess I’ll have to bring my own vessel, fuck it up to within an inch of its “life”, and then say
>get in

Have you ever bothered to experiment and go outside your own comfort zone?
Have you ever - in 20 years - tried inviting a neighbor over to dinner?
Or have a cookout?
Or bake something and bring it over to a neighbor?

I'm 41 and I've lived on my own since I was 17 and I've never ever seen a neigbhour bring home groceries also.

the only time my neighbours see me is 8am and 5pm

saturday, when you're probably out. also everything is home deliveries now.

sounds to me like you live in a nice area where most people work. believe me, it's better than living in the middle of a city surrounded by crack heads and evil brown people trying to stab you

Lol.
Theres a town founded by masons back in the early 1800s that has a bunch of weird things crawling around a forested area of a park. Ive seen the street lights change to multiple colors and a shadow creeping out of the woodline. Also something attacked my buddy and tore open his stomach when he was passing by that area on a late night munchie mission for the boys. This was all over a decade though. Ive moved since.
