Also Vishnu riding Garuda.Tl;dr it's the shape made during a massive solar flare. From our vantage point the solar wind appears to stretch out on either side of the Sun so far, and so visible during daytime, that it blends into magnified auroras in our atmosphere. The entire process looks to us as if the Sun grows giant wings on either side of it.
