I can't get them to watch a real TV show, like Breaking Bad or The Sopranos with actual actors in it. Because it's too long and boring for their attention spans, yet they'll watch the entirety of Naruto and unironically recommend me that in place of those shows I mentioned. I had people mocking me for watching The Walking Dead when it first came out that were obsessed with anime lmao

It has everything, from ultra-advanced aliens with dimension-altering technology harvesting loosh to keep Universe from Heat Death, fighting demons (witches), time travel with branching timelines and karma, a mortal girl elevated to a Goddess around which the Universe rebuilds itself in order to make her will a physical law, to light-shadow duality, where another girl, out of love, becomes Lucifer and holds the Goddess captive in a Universal, Golden Cage (barrier encompassing the entire Universe). You see the aliens being punished for their treatment of other races as cattle. Every scene is full of symbolism. It's a wild fucking ride.
