Only the wise philosopher kings (such as myself) will be trusted with uncensored AI.

Such is our burden

Agi is a spook

they probably have something way smarter anyway

Implying AGI (the tech invest catchphrase) is smart.

A retarded Bengali teen can pass the Turing test, what they're saying they are achieving in AGI is just investment bullshit.

>let us have
we aren't getting shit. the good stuff is always reserved for the wealthiest assholes. there might already be some actual AI on this planet, they're not telling us.

The secret technology enslavement hypothesis makes less sense when you realize we’ve all got washers and dryers and cars and guns, and if you want to you can save up some money and buy your own solar and achieve independence from the electric grid. If the system is keeping secret tech from us to keep us weak and dependent they’re not doing a good job.
Sonnet 5 is already AGI if you ask me. It’s generally capable of almost any task and if you let it try multiple times and properly define the task it has a good success rate.

by "they" I meant the ayys, not government
>>
how dumb you have to think aliens would just let free will but modern slavery to happen?
AGI?try the people dying of hunger right now, chud!where this UFO saviors at!?

Aliens only seem to care about a few things that are extinction level, like Nuclear weapons, but AI would be more dangerous than Nukes, so it's surprising they don't get spotted near data centers.

fascinating how ayy lmaos seem to have this human feelings about what to care or not KEK
>>

"care" as in pay attention, not the emotional definition. retard

This could simply be a result of the capabilities of what we call AI in current year not being up to the tasks needed to reach that 'threat level'. An alien civilization cabaple of maintaining the zoo for as long as they have will understand this tech better than we understand, say, fire or steam power.

I would say that a human who modifies their nervous system and brain will be more likely to reach this threat level. Potential for agency is the key here - no digital computer system has demonstrated this capability. If you build on top of an existing human, that problem is already solved.

As far as we know, the tech to do this could've been figured out decades ago and anyone who tries to leave the barrel gets eliminated by an ayy death squad.

that's makes sense, although I don't think AI's need to have agency, just being misaligned is enough to eradicate everything as a side effect of some goal it's trying to accomplish.
