Had a nightmare last night about the zombie apocalypse, the thing is they were rotting and falling apart yet they acted more like they were aware and could still feel albeit they were clearly insane. Hey were acting as if hey were desperate to consume flesh.

And it's funny as hell.Let's say zombies don't need to maintain normal human body temperature, they still need to spend calories to move around or even stay upright. Without active and functioning immune systems they would rot faster than you think. Eyes and eardrums are delicate tissue. Digestion takes energy too, so even if they manage to eat somethign, it would not make a big difference. The zombies could be considered a threat for 5-7 days at most.If you have supplies for 14-21 days you can just bunker down and be comfy, and when you go out you'll only encounter blind, deaf, dehydrated, and barely mobile husks, or just straight up lifeless corpses.The whole "hordes of the walking dead 3 years after the patient 0" is just bullshit. No one can beat physics.
