Reddit is a better place to organize investigations than here but I could never stand to spend any time on Reddit. In true crime these days you see it fairly frequently, Redditors who involved themselves and assisted in the investigation. The documentary always tries to talk wayyyyy around all the obvious subreddit drama that’s eternally happening behind the scenes. Just typical reddit shit, power tripping mods. But I really wouldn’t want to start putting work into something and then find myself banned from the group because the fat cross-eyed lady running it didn’t like my tone in the post that wasn’t about her.

A shocking amount of Reddit mods, especially in communities like true crime, actually are extremely fat/ugly women. They might not be tripping on it at the start but the “soft power” to silence speech and ultimately guide social situations is the ultimate power to women and they feel it in their bones the way men do when they start getting physically strong for the first time. They start out just having a niche hobby because they’re fat/ugly but eventually it evolves into them having the “woman powers” they never really got to exercise in real life.
