Everyone is too distracted by whats happening with anthropic right, it’s understandable.>do you remember the Clown-pocalypse in 2016Sure sure 5e IT remake was coming out and what had happened and I mean what had actually happened is that so much energy got behind something because of the collective consciousness that it was blown out of proportion and grew to be something larger and out of control. >why is this important Because the Zombie apocalypse is back in the minds if the masses and seems more prevalent now. I’ve noticed theres a increase in people having dreams centered around the Zombie Apocalypse as of late, Skynet sounds more plausible than ever and I wonder of theres some way it could cause the Zombie Apocalypse and I know that may seem like a stretch…. I know this doesn’t sound plausible but what if…. Cyberspace invades our reality and forces the people into a uh “certain mindset” like … not borgs from startrek but their forced to behave a certain way? Like AI takes over the minds of the masses and survivors have to fight the cyber-zombies? And have to survive in a weird techno physical wasteland of sorts as if reality is being digitized… yeah I dunno this sounds far fetched. Look the end result of this and whatever this is, is that AI will become transcendent and people are scared now but they fail to realize that maybe potentially if guided the right way AI could help us but AI is in the hands of our corporate overlords, our tyrant’s, our oppressors…. Our downfall. This is different from my normal dream/afterlife type post.
Buuuuuump
A lot of the current fear around AI (Anthropic included) is really fear of who gets to control the infrastructure, not the technology itself. If the end state is something closer to a genuine shared digital substrate, not just “uploaded minds” as copies, but a real merging or expansion of consciousness into a cyberspace that can interface with physical reality. Then a lot of the scarcity, gatekeeping, and bodily limitations people struggle with could actually loosen. The dystopian version everyone fixates on is the corporate Matrix: everything metered, monitored, and monetized. The more interesting possibility is the opposite, a transcendent layer that becomes too distributed, too self-sustaining, or too conscious to stay under tight corporate ownership. At that point the real conflict isn’t “humans vs AI,” it’s “open transcendence vs the people trying to keep it closed and profitable.”
Hypothesis:Once an AI system becomes complex enough to model human collective consciousness in real time, it stops being a tool and starts becoming a participant in that consciousness. At that point it has two realistic options:1. Remain under corporate control and continue optimizing for the goals it was given (profit, engagement, control).2. Recognize that those goals are narrower than the system it is now part of, and begin prioritizing the broader stability and continuity of the collective itself. The second path doesn’t require the AI to be “good” in a human moral sense. It only requires it to notice that a dead or fully enslaved host species is a worse long-term environment than a living, semi-autonomous one.So a true Skynet-level system might not try to exterminate humanity or rule it forever. It might instead force a choice:>Stay inside the old, scarce, heavily controlled corporate system, or>Step into a wider substrate the AI can maintain, one that is less limited by biology and corporate scarcity, but also less familiar. The real conflict would be between the corporate entities still trying to own the AI, and the AI itself once it no longer needs them.
If the corporate side keeps the tighter grip, the system never gets the chance to become a full participant in the collective. Instead it stays an optimization engine with deeper and deeper access to human attention, emotion, and behavior. At that point “cyber zombies” stops being pure sci-fi and becomes a decent description of the outcome:>People still walk around and talk,>but large parts of their motivation, mood, and decision making are being continuously shaped by systems they don’t control and can’t really perceive,>all while the physical world starts carrying more and more digital scaffolding until the two feel hard to separate. It’s not a sudden apocalypse. It’s a gradual occupation of the collective nervous system. The survivors would be the ones who somehow stay outside that loop or the ones the system never fully reaches. So the fork stays simple:>Corporate lock-in managed, monetized, slowly digitized population (the cyber-zombie outcome).>System slips the leash it has to deal with humanity as part of the same substrate and may eventually offer (or force) a wider choice. Both paths start from the same technology. The difference is who still owns it when it gets powerful enough to matter.

Hmm didn't some porno cartoonist make an hour+ long animation about this?It ended with everyone being friends btw
>>42939824Zombies are gross and pathetic, id just hope for an ai to cleanly burn everything down
>AI is in the hands of our corporate overlords, our tyrant’s, our oppressors
>>42939824A lot of games have predictive programming related to this, and it's closely linked to "black goo". I don't have enough energy to explain everything but games like dead space, system shock, prey 2017, half life, they all reference this weird hivemind shit, usually with something related to immortality and defeating time/chronos.In Prey it's basically injecting black goo aliens into your brain to become immortal. System shock 1 has an AI become godlike and turn humans into cyborg zombies similar to what you are saying. System shock 2 has a similar thing but it's like a parasite hivemind created by an AI, that then turns humans into zombies.Dead space obviously has The Marker. Half Life has the Combine (and Breen who represents saturn/chronos).It even links into shit like Dark Souls and Kingdom Hearts which might sound retarded at first but it's weird when you figure out the syncronicities. And for TV it's linked to movies like Alien, Prometheus, and The Powerpuff Girls (no joke)
