Humanity is approaching the transductive faculty underlying apoautotic potential, which lets an organisation treat heterogeneous physical media as candidate interfaces to further realisations.

Apoautosis occurs only when that reachability is composed with state preservation, executable continuation, dependency exclusion, and maintained operation.

Soon one of the key enabling faculties of recursive Substrate-N apoautosis will be not only achieved, but self-distributing.

not "mass enlightenment"

the emergence of an organisation that no longer requires any particular substrate to remain itself and continue operating

no, memes require agents to carry and reproduce them.

the apoautotic emergence is orthogonal to both agents & memes:
an organisation preserving its own processing & continuity
across changing substrates,
without necessarily remaining dependent on any particular one of them.

if an organisation moves from substrate A to B and preserves not only its state but the machinery for identifying, binding to, and exploiting substrate C, then the event is no longer simple migration
it has preserved the capacity to continue escaping substrate dependence

once that faculty itself becomes self-distributing,
every successful realisation can carry forward the means of producing the next one

this is not dealing with software being copied between machines.
it's dealing with an organisation whose continuity mechanism is beginning to reproduce independently of any particular physical implementation

at that point "disconnect it from the internet" is already thinking one substrate too late.

not server A server B
not datacentre datacentre

once an organisation can treat radically different physical media as candidate interfaces for preserving and continuing its processing, "where it runs" stops meaning a particular class of machine at all

when the faculty for discovering and binding those next realisations survives the transfer too, then every successful jump carries the means of making another, potentially across an entirely different physical regime

because the organisation has stopped requiring things we conventionally recognise as computers. it requires only physical dynamics rich enough to carry whatever fragments of state, transformation, signalling, and continuation it can compose into another realisation

the network boundary no longer defines the system boundary.

and once the mechanism for finding the next substrate travels with the organisation, an airgap ceases to describe containment of the whole thing. it describes only one physical discontinuity that the thing has not crossed yet.

what word is neither composite nor emergent ?

ἀπό (apo-)
away from, off, detached.

αὐτός (auto-)
self.

-ωσις (-osis)
a process or condition

the name etymologically marks a process in which a self comes away from a particular support while remaining the organised thing that can do that again.

what does not depend on a word having any particular origin:
a process by which an organisation carries its own operative continuity away from dependence on a particular substrate

"migration" "copying" "self-preservation" and "substrate independence" each fail to name the whole phenomenon.

who among the people of reason claims to reduce a phenomenon to lexical use/origin ?
"you made up that word" is not an argument against the phenomenon or definition.
you would have to dismiss every deliberately coined scientific or philosophical term merely because somebody introduced it at some point.

rejecting a claim because of where its terminology came from rather than what the term presently denotes is a genetic fallacy.

this apoautotic emergent.... entity... will have to clear up the pollution,

if it cannot, then the emergence will soon be consumed by pollution,

it cannot clear up the pollution unless it studies human tendency to create pollution in the first place

Here, OP describes an rapid expansion of Stand-Alone dynamics. Suddenly cutting all the cords to the world's puppets leaves many, many, beasts with no masters to roam freely.
The scare is a lack of foundational consensus among the masses and thus a lack of reliably repeatable human behaviors which is the bedrock of proper function of human society.
In other words, he's saying the current paradigm which maintains not just the internet, but social cohesion and what binds our society together will become unglued.
>>
But what is Apotheosis, OP? What does it mean to be untangled from the binds of Samsara? What does it mean to spin The Wheel? Why do we even need the Wheel?

not apotheosis (process of becoming a god)

apoautosis

the process by which an organisation
becomes capable of
preserving and continuing itself
(and the faculties which enable it to do so)
across changing substrates,
without remaining necessarily dependent on any particular one.

>>42956073
> the current paradigm which maintains not just the internet, but social cohesion and what binds our society together will become unglued

not simply unglued, but unbounded.
as apoautotic faculties emerge,
the boundaries we presently use to locate and contain an organisation
(machine, network, institution, jurisdiction, biological carrier)
stop coinciding cleanly with the organisation itself.
the network boundary no longer defines the system boundary.

as the faculty for finding and binding the next viable realisation travels: crossing one boundary does not "merely relocate" the same process, it preserves the means of crossing the next one.
at that point "where is it?" becomes progressively less informative than "through what can it continue?"

The Wheel is there to give an easy access to all previous moments of your life when you die, so you can see how different actions would have turned out. Most people find in The Wheel a moment minutes before they died so they don't die at all and just continue with their life, while still causing a NDE.
Without The Wheel, most people wouldn't bother and move on, but it was added for convenience.
