I had a dream a couple of years ago. In this dream experience, I had found some kind of door in my house (can't remember if it was my current house or childhood house) which I had forgotten existed. I remembered this door existed but I just simply had forgotten about it. The door led to a basement area and in the basement, there was another door which was quite a big steel door I had to push open with a lot of force. Can't quite remember if I used a key or not. After doing that, the heavy door opened to a small excavated hallway and that led to a spiral staircase going down. The spiral staircase had some kind of chainlink fence in the lower levels so it made the area a bit more darker at the bottom. I decided to walk down the stairs. The spiral staircase kept going down and down into the obscure area until I eventually got very close to the bottom. In the near bottom area, there were some drawers and in these drawers were stuff from my childhood I had fondness of but I had completely forgotten about. It was quite nostalgic looking at the toys and photographs of my past. But then all of a sudden these objects started levitating and being all weird and scary. It was like some scary presence showed up and it was like a gray whirlpool. It was levitating stuff and throwing it at me. I remember I ran down to the bottom, to get ahold of something but can't remember what. The bottom had white tiled floor and had some metal cabinets, but I didn't open them. Then the whirlpool phantasm was with me in the bottom so I evaded it and started running I started running upstairs at full speed to escape it. The strange thing about this dream is that months later, I found this meme called "Bernhard's Door", which describes what happened in my dream. I know the origin of this meme is some kind of creepypasta, but isn't it strange I dreamt of it way before I saw the meme here in 4chan? Has anybody else experienced this dream?
>>42967689i can relate to it, and it's freaky badass scary cool.
>>42967689That's basically "what if Inception was 4 realz". It represents descending down your unconscious, finding memories of both the good and the bad from your childhood. The interesting thing is that you describe an even lower level with metal cabinets which likely held the very basics upon which your personality is founded. "The evil thing" is nothing more but a sort of defense mechanism, which prevents one from digging up stuff they repressed. Now, it's a good thing something like the machinery from Inception doesn't exist. Imagine if it was possible to change the very foundations of a person by manipulating their memories.

>>42967689What were you doing before you had this dream to possibly set it off? I've never experienced it personally, but I have dreamt of my childhood home repeatedly. The most recent time I was standing at the end of the road and interacted with the new neighbours there. It was like a childs dream within a dream but for someone else, they had merged two homes into one. Then I found out the site had been remodeled, which... coincidental and kind of nice actually.
