Sailors, Navy, Fishermen, etc, share some stories of watery /x/ shenanigans on the high seas. Supernatural or mundane, doesn't matter.

>>42971490Yarr! Me and the mateys be aboard the Pequod off the treacherous, foam-spitting reefs of the Moluccas where the ocean split wide like the jaws of Beelzebub to unleash a mighty sea-gorgon whose eyes burned with the furious flame of a thousand dying suns! The monster surged from the black abyssal froth and hurled my grand three-masted ship three leagues into howling heavens!, snapping our ivory mast like a dry twig as the sky bled crimson thunder! With a roar that shattered the eardrums 'o every devil in hell, I plunged my blazing hot harpoon of meteoric iron directly into the leviathan's glowing; and thar I rode the thrashing beast through a boiling whirlpool of eldritch sea-flame 'till the ocean surrendered!

Not strictly /x/ but we didn't have proper evidence of rogue waves until 1984 and no real study of them until the 21st century despite sailors claiming their existence for centuries. A rare win for folk knowledge over the boffins.

I'm a firm believer that whales and other cetaceans have an awareness for sounds that we don't, and they mimic the noises that they pick up from space. Having listened to a whale singing up close, I can only describe the sound as astral.
>>42971498This whale sounds like a faggot to the other whales. Feels bad man
>>42977722I also believe this. Whale language is probably a long history of their species.
