Stars sometimes flash and disappear in the night sky due to "atmospheric scintillation". One night I was testing whatever the hell was actually happening to me and I looked at a star and determined that it should disappear if I am truly experiencing this strange state of mind. And it did disappear. It's among three experiences - and I think synchronicity might not be the word, but manifestation - that convinced me that I truly know nothing, but that I am less incorrect as before.

But on the opposite side of the spectrum as someone with low to no affective empathy (I can't say I can tell the difference between low and no, I'm ballparking) I can cognitively predict most people's actions and read their body language/minor facial expression changes very clearly, allowing me to understand logically what they are feeling even if they are not verbally expressing itI would have to wonder then if "empaths" don't have the same ability, but they experience it subconsciously so they think it's like some psychic mind reading - when in reality, they're also just intuitively parsing what's available to them.
