Let's discuss and compare each other's experiences with out of body experiences.To get the ball rolling, I'll recount one recent experience of mine.Inspired by someone else's story, I decided to try and visit the so-called DMT realm without using the substance, which I have never used myself.Upon setting my intention to go there, I found myself in a pitch black space. I persevered, and started seeing a speck of light in the distance which, as the minutes passed, became brighter and bigger, until I found myself in what I think DMT users call "the waiting room".It was an expansive space surrounded by psychedelic-looking patterns that moved gently. I was completely alone there for a while, until I started sensing a female presence.I perceived a huge colorful portrait of something resembling a human face, but not quite. Then, in the blink of an eye, I felt a forceful lateral push, and my surroundings changed completely. I was standing next to a river in what looked like an European city.I had the distinct impression that I had been denied entry for some reason. I tried to reestablish contact to inquire about this, but all I faced was rejection, so I decided not to push it.Investigating later, I've found this is more common than I expected with DMT users. I got the intuitive feeling at the time that I was kept out by a gatekeeper because my "vibration" was too jarring/dissonant to be there.
is it possible that your brain produces dmt while astral projection?
>>42983219It might be that DMT plays a role in that and general perception of reality in general.Look up Rick Strassman and Andrew Gallimore, as well as research on endogenous DMT.I remember watching a researcher talk about this, but I don't remember his name. That some psychedelic substances in reality might just be modulating the natural DMT metabolism of the body.

Don't get hung up on "going out".I have had experiences with my eyes closed and my body very much awake in which I went places and saw things that were corroborated IRL by third parties. Ask any psychic. You don't need to leave your body in a full nighttime OBE sense to go to these places and interact with non physical beings.You do have to learn properly because random imagination is not the same as extra corporeal experiences. But controlled imagination is. Bruce Moen documented his journey coming to grips with this.

You should be able to find shamanic studies institutions near you.However, I happened to come across someone who had been initiated in South America and was a lifelong practitioner. I managed this via prayer asking for a teacher and Neville Goddard type visualization.I suppose you could get into it by yourself if you read Michael Harner and Jan Fries books, with some Bruce Moen and Robert Bruce on top. But as with any self learning, it's going to take effort and time.
