Nobody said that, smart guy. Protestants have been so mind raped into believing that the only two options are “I can do whatever I want because I said I believe in Jesus when I was 5 years old” or “If I make it to heaven it is only because of my works and Christ played no role. I earned it myself”
Here’s some things that you need to think about. Do you have to be baptized to be saved? The bible says you do (Mt 28:19, 1 Peter 3:21, etc), and yet you would consider that a work and therefore not necessary.
Do you have to repent to be saved? The bible says you do (acts 17:30, among MANY others) and yet you would consider that a work and therefore not necessary.
The bible is very clear that believing in Jesus is not enough to be saved, as per James 2:19. The demons KNOW that Christ is the son of God and yet they are still eternally damned. What makes you think you’re any different?
Protestants love to prattle on about reading the bible and yet seemingly none of them actually do it. If they did, they would quickly see that their beliefs are not only not present but are actively disproven.
