We tend to observe and celebrate more practical day/light plant/harvest calendar events. Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, All Saints, etc. arent really something we focus on. THAT SAID; our primary focus are the 4 sun seasons of Equanox & Solstice becasue they have real-world effects on us. we farm & raise livestock. the seasons, sun hours and associated harvest, planting, breeding & birthing calendars have more bearing on our lives. Is this hokey? Are we paving our path to hell? are we the "Witchy Dorks" i always rolled my eyes at? we dont read (or believe in) horoscopes and astrology. wife is not out casting spells and I'm not raising a Moon Staff at midnight mass. I sometimes wish people a happy Solstice or Equanox. our very Protestant friends got all weird when I mentioned Lughnasa and said something about Samhain.

Should we? we dont have children. we farm & raise livestock.we observe what affects our productivity on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. planting, breeding and harvest seasons are dictated by sun hours, temperature & circadian rhythms. there is nothing wrong with celebrating Christmas or Easter but what happened 2000 years ago has no effect on when we sow, breed or harvest. our house is powered by a 7kW solar array, 12kw inverter and 20.48kwh LifePO4 battery bank. we have to monitor and adjust our electrical power use in direct correlation to Equanox & Solstice.Hanukkah and Passover have no real effect on our productivity, aside from clogging up the checkout lines, travel routes and slowing down package delivery.

I have a primarily fact and science based approach to life. i lean more intelligent design, universal science theory, adjacent dimesnions and multiple universe. I still choose to follow Christian beliefs. i realize the conflict to weave them together, but Christianity itself requires a leap of faith. as such i try not to mock or scoff at other's beliefs without reason or fair understanding.can you explain your stance?
