Welcome to Energy Cultivation General! here we discuss the theory/practice of energy cultivation where we help guide and help each other to higher planes of being

>What is this energy you speak of?
Qi, ki, aether, orgone, archeus, etheric energy, vital life-essence, prana, chi, mana, vital energy, Vril, life force, Nen (joke) and quintessence
(Or whatever you call it.)
Is the forgotten (not so forgotten) Energy which radiates within every life form. small or big, "weak and strong".

>Why cultivate it
Improved... Physical/joint Health, Mental health, Spiritual health/development, Mental clarity, perception, creativity, mood, companion, strength/mobility, etc

>Ok I'm sold, where do I start
(research extensively on each subject, (take a look at the /ECG/ library for other books and subjects) then practice the one you resonate with the most (doing multiple cultivation practices at the same time is not advised))

you can basically be any race and cultivate, it doesn't really matter.

Where your race may really matter is if you are serious serious about this kind of stuff. Only because masters don't want to disclose traditional secrets to anyone which isn't their own race and they especially don't want the next heir of their tradition to be a African or a European when it could be the race they are.
But other than that, it doesn't really matter

Then express yourself instead in your prayers. Some wish selfishness and harm on this world, ALL live lifetimes as evil deities. Harness that against the Jews and aliens, mortgage yourself into PSYCHIC AND SPIRITUAL DOMINANCE n by connecting your very body even, as well as mind and spirit, to other lifetimes of yours and people you have and will meet. For high spiritual pay too.

>>43017378
this is just some hypothesizing from people who didnt make accomplishments, but read about some old esoteric stuff and interpreted it
they dont even distinguish between initiated thought and random, spontaneous thought
its a key distinction that undercuts his argument
there is an energetic basis for random thoughts to arise
the generation of a random thought is itself an internal energy balancing mechanism
animals without a ruminating mind, you see them wagging their tails as their balancing mechanism
the root of this lies in the neural activity of sense processing
I've described this many times here
when the awareness is well harnessed, most of the energy of the moment is well utilized
when the awareness is poorly harnessed, much of the energy more or less stagnates and builds up
this takes place at the seat of awareness in the midbrain
when the stagnated energy builds up to a sufficient level, it then is able to jump into the cerebrum and a random thought is the result
this is why most people cant keep their minds still, because they have no other trained outlet
with proper meditative training, one learns to focus the awareness, using up more of this energy
there is a constant interplay of conscious & subconscious process, the more inefficient, the more energy remainder is left over
as the subconscious is refined and executes breathing and sense type stuff in a more efficient manner, the energy remainder doesnt build as fast
eventually one is able to get to a stage where keeping the awareness stays ahead of the building of the energy remainder, resulting in a calm, clear, random thought free mind
there's only one way I know this is all true, because I have accomplished it many times over
and the many times over part means this is a matter of conditioning, fall out of practice and the inefficiencies return, the mind chatter returns
its just the way it is

it means that eventually you beat up your jing so bad that your body starts sacrificing resources for your internal organs to keep making sex fluids
first to get hit are things like hair, sinews
its also why that brazilian kid that beat off like 26 times in a day died of a heart attack
>>
>>43018624
>You don't think so?
I know they're out there but perhaps I havent really delved too much in their stories, wherever it is they wind up arising
its usually not really in a cultivation context
but if you get to the stage of cultivation where you are working deeply with the jing
and that's a difficult stage to describe getting to, I took other paths but have some interesting friends
but screwing things up in that way basically becomes much more harmful as the stages progress deeper
anyone who's beat themselves up in this way should not ever do neidan and seek other paths for this lifetime

That is, floating or pale stool, bloating after meal, hair is lost and not regrowing, body is decaying despite nutrition? Does this also refer to being in the grips of coomerdom, or even to a post-coomer who has calmed such issues and been able to recover and heal?
>but if you get to the stage of cultivation where you are working deeply with the jing
>and that's a difficult stage to describe getting to, I took other paths but have some interesting friends
Jing to qi stages of inner phenomena, dramatic-like? (Not that I have experienced these)
>but screwing things up in that way basically becomes much more harmful as the stages progress deeper
Does this refer to practicing with a leaky vessel? Cannot tcm help repair such leaks? Or is there an extent of damage you are referring to that is beyond even the repair methods of tcm?
>anyone who's beat themselves up in this way should not ever do neidan and seek other paths for this lifetime
If one has beat themselves up, how would one know they have not beaten themselves up beyond hope of neidan pursuit?

Serious question: At this point most people aware of sexual energies know that ejaculating depletes it, and also know that women "glow" after receiving cum from their men. What happens energetically/spiritually if you eat your own cum? Not interested in any morality shit or how "gross" that is, just what actually happens, as it is still absorbed into your being, albeit its no longer in your balls. There HAS to be difference on some level between just cumming on a sock and eating your nut. Is there any ancient texts talking about this?

>Not interested in any morality shit or how "gross" that is
never once did I mention the reason why you shouldn't eat your own cum is because its gross or because of some social norm.
Its was out of prepose. If something is used outside of its prepose all which comes of it is at the least inefficiency and at most harmful.
There is no prepose for your cum to be in your own mouth, it serves no benefit and will only make you sick, its really that simple.

Anyways, I was putting two halves of a walnut together and it occurred to me that maybe the internal organs meaningfully correspond to regions of the brain. Like the gut brain if viewed from the head is like the head brain if viewed from the gut. Got tingly feels when imagining such symmetry connected by a spinal column and a heart/solar plexus. Is it true that the heart is the first electrical signal in embryonic morphogensiss? I'm a dummy on this stuff, so a lot of this is probably wrong, but wowza, creation is poetic af. imagine a bunch of mountain peaks that are linked by bridges and the peaks get progressively higher
you wind up with way farther to fall the higher you go up
>Could you attempt to describe what you mean by this stage?
an important point about chi is that its patterned energy
chi springs forth from the jing
deeper stages of progress affect the body on very deep levels, change certain DNA config
transmutations take place
I'm sure some have heard of the mercury ingestion thing
its fatal unless one has achieved a level whereby it can be transmuted into something not fatal
bottom line, when deep and profound changes are initiated, going back the other way is harmful

the body has fantastic ability to recover and heal, but one should most definitely not take this as meaning there isnt a point of no return
>Cannot tcm help repair such leaks?
if you've got a good practitioner you're seeing
its a grab bag out there just like with western medicine
many are unable to troubleshoot their way out of a paper bag unless someone's done it before and they have a set of instruction to follow
>If one has beat themselves up, how would one know they have not beaten themselves up beyond hope of neidan pursuit?
this is best ascertained by a potential neidan teacher
consider some of the old vids of Jiang doing those tests on dudes, i.e. pushing chi into their arms or legs to test the openness of the channels, this one guy had one side of his body ok but the other was pretty blocked, he underwent a very expensive series of herbs and such, Jiang did a procedure on him and cupped a mass of shit straight out of his skin, after full recovery the student got the same test on him and both arms reacted properly to the chi ran through them

>The Emperor said: "I should like to be informed on the essential doctrines (of healing)."
>Ch'i Po answered: "The most important requirement of the art of healing is that no mistakes or neglect occur. There should be no doubt or confusion as to the application of the meaning of complexion and pulse. These are the maxims of the art of healing. When those who rebelled against the laws of nature obtained power, the medicines prepared from the topmost branches and roots were no longer given, the divine spirit perished and the country deteriorated. But as soon as the rebels were removed all good practices were revived by the succeeding Spiritual Men who had attained Tao, the right way of life."
>The Emperor said: "I understand the importance and the need for teachers, teachers who can proclaim the theory that one cannot separate the complexion from the pulse—the doctrine which I consider pure wisdom."
>Ch'i Po answered: "The utmost in the art of healing can be achieved when there is unity."
>The Emperor inquired: "What is meant by unity?"
>Ch'i Po answered: "When the minds of the people are closed and wisdom is locked out they remain tied to disease. Yet their feelings and desires should be investigated and made known, their wishes and ideas should be followed; and then it becomes apparent that those who have attained spirit and energy are flourishing and prosperous, while those perish who lose their spirit and energy."

If you ever wonder why people hate loving kindness so much btw, this is part of why. Western society HATES this stuff because it makes you impossible to govern. It can prolong your life (why the hell do you think so many of the Buddhists live to 90+ years, even when some have horrible diets or diseases?) it can make you beautiful if you perfect it. It can make you physically strong, it brings about joys in your life. It protects against dangers. The more you perfect it, the stronger you become. The less enemies you have, the more your energy and the universe around you will swoop in to give you everything you need.
Various military regimes will try to stop the practitioners from cultivating this if they're on death row, because if they're too good at it they just can't kill them effectively. If they wind up doing it because the practitioner wasn't cultivating it enough, then it causes a "blow-back" effect energetically on the attempted murderers.

It's an amazing practice. I saw other universes doing it once. If I were a better person I'd be more motivated to actually perfect it.

I know this is some xiantia wet dream you're having but for the sake of who knows what i'll bite the hook and maybe someone will benefit.
Greater Yin is the pure, pre-natal form of vital essence which surrounds and regulates the heart fire(emotional energy - Li - lesser yang)
It is the opposite of Greater(pure) Yang which is innate intelligence or intuition in the navel, however they are related as the main ingredients of spiritual(non-dual) energy and the pre-natal components of Spirit.
Yin is important in regulating(cooling down) emotional states, so if there as a disproportionate amount of Yin around the heart it will suppress emotions to the point where one can exhibit psychopathic and sociopathic traits and behavior. The opposite is true of having having too much fire, where one becomes more emotional.
In general jing(vital essence or lesser yin) is the energy of Will, from this you get greater Yang which is the spiritual energy of innate intelligence and disposition/nature.
Li as lesser yang is the energy of emotions and desires, from then greater Yin is the spiritual energy of the soul and it's vitality.
That is why in alchemy the state of Yin descending and Yang ascending produces a spiritual seed on the level of a second Self embodying both innate wisdom and eternal life.

Cultivating them separately one becomes either a coomer/sex fiend or an emotionless psychopath in the making.
>>
>>43033726
Yes yes, anyways have you considered meditating
>>
>>43034238
But is "emotionless psychopathy" really "energetically negative" and "wrathful"? It sounds more like apathy, from what I understand. So, how does one cultivate Yin, and will I become wrathful in doing so? I was advised earlier to express selfishness and harm on malevolent creatures, or embody one myself. I am not sure what the advice exactly meant, but something along those lines. Hence why I'm asking.

i was trolling a little bit, but stillness and firing yin is technically still cultivating yang or rather they are still cultivated together and balanced
pretty sure the only thing that naturally draws and condenses pure Yin is the maiden but that's also not cultivating Yin separately,

Gödel's private philosophy insights are pure alpha.
This Secret History series on YouTube by Gary Geck (rip, he abandoned us) has kept me entertained for a decade:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGKmrJ4hXc0
At 21min:
>"One can directly see mathematical objects. The same possibilities of thought are open to everyone, so we can take the world of possible forms as objective and absolute. Possibility is observer independent, and therefore real, because it is not subject to our will..."

Video 28 in the series above is an extremely well animated narration of his draft lecture titled on the philosophical development of the foundations of mathematics in light of philosophy, in which he explicitly mentions exactly what he sees is one of the inherent limitations of mechanical 'reasoning': the deepening of understanding of the abstract meaning of concepts themselves, from which understanding spring ever more axioms...(He has so much more on this topic of mind vs machine and absolutely mogs turing here, but the mechanist materialist onanist zeitgeist is unrelenting because the military heroin shekels must flow and corpses must rot God forbid we fucking move forward).

There's even a draft letter to "Tillich" (Paul?) in which he alludes to the validity of religious implications of some of his work. Same letter in which he asserts that one of the constituent parts of reason, which is of its essence, is its self-knowledge. Self-knowledge of reason. ουσία

As well as some banger quotes from a couple books on his thought I've been going through.

I can continue if interested.

A spiritual body of light that will contain your consciousness after death, so you can escape the cycle of reincarnation and ascend higher astral realms of consciousness or Heavens if you will. It comes with the perks of being integrated with matrix of all reality and creation underlying everything, including Heaven, that would be Dao and also Christ(not the dude).
In essence you'd be eternal and to a large extent, omnipotent at some point, the real doozie is this point probably cannot be reached by only cultivating Dao within the physical realm, but it seems to be an essential step, otherwise you wouldn't incarnate over and over again as a physical being until you achieve something along these lines. The essential part may be that humans are a product of the separation of Spirit, the unity of Yin and Yang in one body, and cultivation being bringing those two energies back together in all their forms within body and consciousness. Here you can argue that there are beings like Angels and Devils that are at the far extremes of this polarity as either beings of pure light or darkness respectively, but that also means they lack something that we don't.
Anyway, once you're on the way you'll start to realize this isn't your first rodeo, you will wonder if something or someone is pushing you along and helping you, or something is trying to torture you in excruciating pain for some reason....It's all you, it's always been and always will be. Hence wuwei, the flow state or non-doing that represents xiantian path of cultivating Spirit... It's Spirit cultivating itself.
>>
>>43035058
>stillness and firing yin is technically still cultivating yang
only insofar as yang easily rises to match the level of yin cultivated
you're too fixated on females
>>
>>43035630
>the real doozie is this point probably cannot be reached by only cultivating Dao within the physical realm
per my studies and experience, this can only be done to its full extent within the physical realm, for it is the merger of the physical and spirit that does it
simply cultivating to a level where there's a spirit vehicle proper isnt necessarily a full achievement, but it is certainly an achievement

That might indeed be so, but my ideas revolve around "shedding the husk" by converting all Yin of the physical body into spiritual energy, as confirmed by accounts of the Rainbow body. The question that arises there is if that is the point of ascension or can you simply rebuild a new body and continue to cultivate or ascend and then continue to cultivate.
Is merging with Dao the end of cultivation or the start?
Does it even have a beginning or and end, do eternity and infinity differentiate?
Is immortality the realization that time is not linear?
shit like that

Hey what's up anons.

I have a real heck of a question to ask today, and it's one I've asked before, but it's not one that I've really gotten a great answer on how to actually deal with.

This used to not be the case, but now whenever I haven't jacked off for like a week I feel great discomfort as my energy builds in the lower region. Initially this traps itself in my stomach, not a big deal we just meditate and we move around, do some Yoga poses and that helps. Temporarily.

The longer I get into this, the more spiritual experiences I encounter, but also the greater the risk of this discomfort becoming too much. I'll start to see semen coming out whenever I go to urinate by the 2nd week, which I'm pretty sure isn't normal. The longest I ever went was 5 months or so, maybe half a year, and now I can't go two weeks without this happening. On top of that, and what I think is causing some of this, is my nervous system gets fried. I start to get stressed and overwhelmed. In this state I have the feeling that I have to beat off and just get it over with, but I regret it right afterwards.

I've been meditating for atleast 30m every day now, not only just on the breath or anything, but on multiple different exercises. Meditation definitely helps, but the next day it starts all over again with a strong sense of anxiety, struggling to get around to meditating, and potentially failing to withstand the pressure.

A lot of the pain tends to build up in the stomach early on, but later on it is in the pelvic region around where my pants etc are, but my clothes aren't super tight or anything. I can't avoid anything super tight because it worsens this issue. Eventually it is impossible to avoid anyways.

TL;DR how do I deal with whatever the hell this is because an hour or more a day on meditation / poses + exercise is not enough to provide consistent aid.

Nah, nothing like that but my subconscious or something like that speaks to me at times to help me. At night I see eyes looking at me. Two nights ago it was a really vivid blue and yellow eye looking all around. I don't normally visualize so clearly even when I'm dreaming so it stood out.

I have had the vibes that something was fucking with me at times. I've asked prayed for protection from multiple deities etc. and it doesn't keep this feeling away.

It's as the olfactory dude says: You have to train your breathing to become deep and slow and then cultivate this stillness otherwise you won't be able to do ANYTHING else.

It's funny that all those meditation and energy "gurus" talk all the time about "just watch the breath and ignore thoughts when they come lol" and they say "don't control the breath and don't care much about the body" and I used to believe them for years but after 3 whole months of training daily while keeping a straight spine and training my breathing to become deep (I literally inhale with my pelvic floor now) I have made more progress than ever.

Fell for the same meme.
Also a real teacher would have you do standing practice/meditation until you can sleep standing, before teaching you seated posture.
Its pretty pointless to practice seated because if the joints and meridians in the legs and pelvis are closed there's not enough circulation to keep full lotus for more than a few minutes, the standard being 2-4 hours at minimum.
>>
>>43048155
>Its pretty pointless to practice seated because if the joints and meridians in the legs and pelvis are closed there's not enough circulation to keep full lotus for more than a few minutes, the standard being 2-4 hours at minimum.
this reads like a fundamentalist take from hundreds of years ago, with all the requisite poor insultwriting of today
dont do sitting practice until you can sit in lotus for 2-4 hours?
you're putting the cart before the horse in that sentence
while I recommend practitioners do the requisite work to achieve full lotus - especially if young and healthy - full lotus is not a hard and fast requirement to make progress, and if the practitioner is starting old enough, just being able to sit comfortably for durations is sufficient
also consider that the majority of practitioners are not going to be doing the neidan track where being able to sit unmoving for 4 hours becomes the baseline standard for stepping in that door
that's just not the case for most other paths, and the context of my writing is still perfectly valid - standing practice isnt that difficult to teach and to really get it, its best done in person anyway, while internal breathing mechanics isnt going to be conveyed any more thoroughly in person than it is here with well typed instructions
there's nothing to see, unlike postural alignments that can be subtle and a little difficult for beginners to self identify
I made samahdi manifest well before I was able to sit in full lotus, so 100% not pointless at all
I tell people that it is important to cultivate the body and keep it fit and healthy for best progress to be made
so I dont know where you're getting this high and mighty feel from to the point where you're calling my writings memes, other than to be a dick and show that you've not conquered yourself to begin with
>>
>>43048435
>It's funny that all those meditation and energy "gurus" talk all the time about "just watch the breath and ignore thoughts when they come lol" and they say "don't control the breath and don't care much about the body"
The memes in questions.
Not having awareness of the body, not building up the fascia layer through yijin jing, not clearing the joints and channels in the legs despite more than half the body's energetic potential being stored there, etc.
In standing meditation, gravity is applying the weight of the body on the leg vessels and refining posture to account for the increased energy flow, this is a long process that happens largely on its own under internal movement and doesnt require much attention, so the majority of awareness falls on the pelvis and ldt, which would eventually form naturally in standing practice.
In lotus the pressure exerted on the legs is again what forces the qi to rise to the upper body and be redistributed in the vessels there, although the goals are more neidan related.
Pressure and flow regulation is always the basics one needs to understand rather intuitively in order to navigate higher energetic states like samadhi, and to successfully replicate them in daily practice or even daily life.

No offense to you, as i've often posted alongside you in similar threads over the years and often supported and even benefitted from your views and practices.
Never meant to come off as an elitist, although I wish most of these discussions went further than surface level "Top 10 tips to cultivate qi bro"
>>
>>43048882
I understand that the context of this thread is ECG, but aside from here or there where I'll delve into other areas, I'm mostly just speaking of breathwork stuff that leads one to the place where he can cultivate the awareness, condition properly so that the body & mind can sustain samahdi
you have no basis to call my posts memes or say that omissions on other areas become memes, its just unnecessarily insulting
that said the things you add are indeed valuable
a more constructive framing would be beneficial

you can tell by questions or statements, a general extent of the level of cultivation of a poster
you can tell if they are trying things, they will ask questions
you can tell if they accomplished things, by perspectives and insights from their own practice

the key to this is not letting things build up to the point where it gets clogged
I can give you a method for it, but if you start raising the energies that generate this side effect, then you must also learn stillness to balance the energy
e.g., learn breathwork and put enough time in to achieve good stillness
the method itself, consider the 3 dantiens in taoism
lower, 2 in below the belly button
middle, at the solar plexus (the heart is later, but that's another part of the story)
and the upper is at the midbrain
by gaining some charge down in the lower two, they can be utilized to activate the upper
a side effect of this is similar to the 'slow fire' effect in taoist yoga
saliva, snivel, tears are emitted, this is expelling precursors of blockage and sickness
palms facing each other in front of the lower two, one at the lower, one at the middle
include this all in the waxwane of the breath
and eventually you should feel something in between the palms
align the laogung and rotate the hands about their axis
it becomes similar to the old school manual lemon juicer in a way
when these two activate and the energy brims over, the upper is energized
combine that with a steamy shower every evening, and the shit wont build up to the point where your nose gets clogged
>>
>>43062047
Keep your tongue pressed on the upper hard palate at all times. Clogging in the nose can be a symptom that ren mai in front is partially blocked or disconnected from du mai via the tongue.
You can clear nasal cavity it by tilting the head slightly backwards to align the opening between the eyebrows with your esophagus and let all the gunk drain out, it can be quite unpleasant the first few times but over time the secretions become more watery and sweet. This is clearing the "heavenly pool" which allows for cutivating the "Jade elixir" which is basically sweet and fragrant saliva along with pituitary secretions.
Once you get the proper flow you can cultivate Chen Tuan's sleeping gong, which is basically jade elixit practice while laying/sleeping and its a cure for sleep apnea and clogged nose.

>>43064218
When you cleave open the dan tian the movements in the gut are so strong you literally shit your brains out for about half a day and things down there become much more clear and sensitive.
Certain auxiliary channels also contract, expand, merge along the way, with sensations wventually exceeding the physical body.
Then there are multiple stages to opening the energy channels, where again sensitivity increases and you become much more connected to your subtle body and in turn every type of energy, mostly lunar energy in the beginning, later on the stars and constellations.
Du mai and ren mai open in multiple stages, requiring mostly certain types of enlightenment, rather than effort.
Shit like that, just keep it up and shit starts happening.

I remember reading here that one shouldn't masturbate if they wish to recover from an illness due to their jing depleting as it will only make it worse.
They was 100% right; I only had a sore throat, but after jacking off i go extremely ill, extremely quick. Looking back at it, whenever I masturbated while being ill, the duration of my sickness increases after doing it.
Comming is literally killing me.

I need to start to take this cultivation stuff seriously and stop lurking

>If your inhale/exhale are deep enough you'll be able to feel your navel pulling on your perineum(huiyin).
The movement of the abdomen regulates yin&yang of the breathing cycle, the air going in/out matters much less than the actual flow of qi.
Also look up "bottled breath".
Just this, locate qihai(2 fingers below the navel) and mingmen(opposite the navel)
The dan tian forms in the area between these two points and huiyin, they play a role in its function and activation.
You need to gently regulate the movwment of the lower abdomen to where it expands all the way in front on inhale and pretty much sticks along the spine on exhale, in the process huiyin will open and close on its own, you'll feel a bit of tugging on your balls.
You dont need to concetrate your mind very hard, rather than focusing your intent there, gently "listen" to that general area.
As qihai is often called the "false dan tian" i find it helpful if you keep your mind on the inside of the spine, above the sacrum.
Practice this between 11pm-1am(winter time) or just around midnight when yin rises and you can form a field within a week or two at most.
Cleaving open the ldt is a bit different as it is related to having a 'seed' of pure yang planted in the field.
This again will happen quite naturally as long as you keep on "listening" to that area for a while.
Once it happens you dont need to do anything either, it does it on its own. Well i guess once you have an actual "embryo" you should try not to spill your seed then, celibacy is not required before this, but somewhat important after.
>>
>>43064186
I'm the anon you quoted: What I mean by that is that with each inhale I feel the pelvic floor inhale downwards and with the exhale it raises upwards.
>>
>>43065361
That is huiyin(mortal gate) opening and closing. That is also how it should be done, no amount of effort should be exerted on actually flexing the perineum muscles, they should be relaxed.

if you want a direct measurement: after enough qi work you can actually summon circulation to your limbs at will, and that is something you can sense directly. if you're perfectly still, you can even feel the local increase in pressure. it's not very precise at first, but you can learn to narrow it down and concentrate your entire breath right where you need it

This is a cool general. I haven't been on /x/ in about a year so this is an awesome thing to find on my return. I'm going to get into this and start by reading "The Mind Illuminated".

I've been on a personal transformation journey for the past year. Did therapy for 7 months, lost 30lbs, quit alcohol and weed. cut my phone screen time down to an hour/day. I feel like practicing energy cultivation is the next step for me.

Also, I'm on day 8 of quitting caffeine. I didn't realize just how impactful this drug was. My energy levels have not yet fully rebounded but I can tell how much more int control of my mind I am and how much less anxiety I have. What can you tell me about the negative effects of coffee?

will this practice increase ability to manifest as well?

Yeah it is the post nut opioid chemistry and the refractory period. Metabolism goes low, you feel sleepy. Acutely there is not much damage but chronically it is obviously bad, you become more sensitive, more passive, your brain cant think straight without the calories, daylight becomes a stress trigger etc. Lust starts at sleep deprivation because that opioid hit becomes irresistible

>>
>>43078388
>as in pay attention to the breathing specifically?
the whole point of refining the breath is to program the subconscious through habit-conditioning so that it autoperforms with little to no mental capital driving very efficient breathing mechanics
smooth the transitions between inhale and exhale until all distinctions are obscured
it messes with the way the quantum waveform collapses, once these individual events are obscured - it makes the cool event probability amplitude raise
train like a pro, execute like a pro, get pro results - conditioning is big
>should i follow the qigong or cultivation as well or just awareness?
the body needs to be kept up
so do something to keep your body up
whether its yoga or 5 brocades or taiji, all of those serve the purpose
but yes, do everything with awareness
always train keeping the awareness
when you're sitting, train keeping very long chains of uninterrupted awareness
the better your awareness when you train physical things, the better the effect on programming the muscle memory

> an intellectual understanding is shallow and relatively meaningless
Through literature you can find the big picture and figure out alone the first steps.

Anyway what I figure out that even a perfectly healty athlete have a ton of Qi, but can't felt it if he has not practiced meditation before. Meditation is the key to gauge the Qi through personal internal sensation. When I talk about Meditation, is more like about sensing the internal using your touch sens :
> stay still in a confortable position
> close your eyes
> feels (listening to your internal body state)
Do it at home, then in a park, then in a forest or in a place you will cultivate in future.

later on during cultivation:
> don't force the manifestation (don't imagine it)
> let it come.
> watch it manifesting itself.

Those are the first steps or keys.

new to this thread with a question...

Am I just living on raw energy now?
Last wednesday (8th) I decided to try my old thing again of changing body parts with affirmations every hour. It used to work with emotions but nowadays I'm an emotionless block so in lieu of that I've imagined drawing the surrounding aether into the things I'm using affirmations on. I do this a couple minutes every single hour (most hours anyway). On friday I noticed I'm no longer getting hungry, despite not eating at all, and despite being very physically active (work & long walks daily) and even drinking coffee again (usually knocks your blood glucose level down hard).

I literally haven't eaten in a week but don't feel hungry or low energy.

I'm physically very healthy as always so there's no medical reason and it's not ketosis cuz I know from experience that takes a week to start and makes you sluggish. So like...am I possibly just running on the aether I'm pulling into myself?

By the way Elohim (yhvh), Pangu, and Tao are the exact same thing described by different culture : same script, different movie.
The Shen Qi is Holy Spirit in christianity, and it's achievable truth the stillness or the return to the nothingness (Wuwei or Shabbat is the same thing).

You are like a glass of water, if you are half full and half empty and there is no ripple on the surface (stillness), the limit between the half empty and half full disapear, this is the Tao : the union between heaven and earth : the Ark of the Convenant.

Chinese and Hebrew share the same root, the same conception of the creation of the universe. Pangu and Elohim is the same concept.

Pangu is born from an Egg, that split in two : Heaven and Earth.
Tao : from one thing, two things was born, ...
Genesis : In the begining was Elohim then Heaven and Earth were created.

The 3 tradition share the same root, the same cosmogony.

When you reach enlightenment you understand that Elohim / God is nothing more than yourself in a specific state of consciousness. This is not new age, but deep down this is the root of all things : the Tao, the immortal state.

But it's not dc nor ac, it's more like a slow liquid like hot crystalisation (western alchimist talk about fire being chrystalized and in the Bible it's called like "a thousand tongues of fire"). Could be moving Qi about by polarizing a path trough intention or imagination.

Opinions differ on this. According to some people you just wanna gather energy in your lower dan tian until it rises and spreads on its own.

It's teach the return to nothingness or stillness in another way for western audiance with an explaination why stillness is necessary : green-ray healer are channeler that doesn't interfer with the inteligent energy. I am a bit confused as to whether that like building up of the lower dan tian kinda happens automatically or if i need to do more for the qi reservoir to get better. as well as if just abdominal breathing brings some of those mentioned health or spiritual benefits

Both are foundational practices but just stick to one. do abdominal breathing until you have 'mastered it'

>I am a bit confused as to whether that like building up of the lower dan tian kinda happens automatically or if i need to do more for the qi reservoir to get better.
Continuous practice is fine but listen to this

>1 conversation
This is just the conversation of Sexual essence.
This is just stopping the loss of energy during sexual intercourse which just excites the brain at the expense of your heath/Qi (If you are sick do not engage in sexual activity (NO Gooning) if you want a fast recovery and if you are in deep sickness don't do it for 6 months)
Or just celibacy

>2 Restoration
This is the restoration of lost energy
This is just correcting your diet, curving your desires, calming the emotions and keeping the body-mind-sprit in the mid way avoiding extremes

>3 Transmutation
This is the transmutation to vital energy (Or Qi 氣)
transmutation occurs in this stillness of body and mind during pranayama

100 days is usually enough time required to transform the sexual essence into subtle form and to fully awaken your Qi
When first cultivated, Qi will feel like a warm sensation within your lower dantian or around your Ming men centre through Embryonic breathing -or whatever nei gong practice you do- this sensation will intensify and your lower dantian which is your lower abdomen will begin to shake and vibrate which indicates ones Qi is replete.

>as well as if just abdominal breathing brings some of those mentioned health or spiritual benefits
You would be surprised what continuous practice does

>Suprisingly Kundalini and yang / shen Qi have the same symptoms when it's happening
"kundalini" for the vast majority of people who speak of it isnt even that, but rather the overload symptoms from doing it wrong

babby's first readthrough on the ymaa materials?
>>
>>43096657
that's great you can already do abdominal breathing, but that doesnt necessarily mean you train to a high level
put the time in
get a few shorter sessions during the day and 1 hour+ at the end of the day
how still is the breath, if you can still perceive it, keep working at it
if you start working with the lower dantien, use some methods to compress & expand it with the breath, keep the focus small like the size of a golf ball to a peach size
but dont work with the upper dt in this way that works for the lower or you'll wind up with a headache

>Do you know if circular breathing used by musician can be used in some Qi practice
not really, its just something that enhances breath control
>Kundalini (simply mean energy coiled around the spine)
>Microcosmic Orbit
these are not the same thing at all and are from entirely different systems
most of the material you will find on kundalini misses some important things
and pretty much all of the material you will find on the MCO discusses circulating the path and does not discuss opening the path - and the circulation exercise is exceedingly unlikely to open it
its a more advanced thing than people realize, for both

>Even just abdominal breathing to start, or reverse abdominal breathing?
for stillness meditation, pick one and stick with it, dont change up what you're doing there
natural abdominal breathing is easier and more relaxing
> I am a bit confused as to whether that like building up of the lower dan tian kinda happens automatically
it is enhanced by active exercises, but ingraining those results are dependent on stillness
where the yi goes, chi flows
it happens automatically, to an extent, it happens automatically to a much greater extent when your awareness is placed there
>as well as if just abdominal breathing brings some of those mentioned health or spiritual benefits
for me at least, the health benefits came primarily when the upper dt was able to become energized by the results from the rest of the work I was doing.
hit 45 second long breaths for an hour-hour and a half every day for two or three months, that was about where all of a sudden the master endocrine control mechanism kicks into gear and you know/feel it unequivocally
>>
Am I supposed to feel energy move up the spine on inhale or exhale?
I think something I read said inhale, but that makes less sense to me.
>>
>>43096946
>but it's not literally ac/dc

Its called a metaphor you autistic fuck
>>
>>43097816
I purposely move energy up sometimes when I inhale, and move it down when I exhale. For me it's a choice, but perhaps people that are sensitive feel it automatically

>Am I supposed to feel energy move up the spine on inhale or exhale?
what practice are you doing that you are asking this question?
>>

Honestly I forget what I read that suggested it should be Down on the Inhale and Up on the Exhale.
I bought the Kundalini Workbook from Mumford and while I haven't read it all yet, I'm pretty sure I saw an illustration saying it's the other way.
Up on inhale, down on exhale. The other way just felt more natural to me, since it follows the breath.
>>

best master stillness if you're going to be playing with kundalini practices
that direction is what I recall, although my instruction focused more on the anterior & posterior longitudinal ligaments
>>
>>43098355
but anyway wrt directionality, consider that there are more hot and less hot ways to do it
exhale down is the less hot method, start with that

Tummo is inner fire breathing, a technique that let's you really turn up your body heat

Most videos about it seem needlessly long and the details taught aren't always the same but this one should be ok

Was reading White Moon on the Mountain Peak, and while for myself the goal of internal alchemy sounds absurd and suicidal in the worst sense (just like any other mystical soteriological system slop), nei dan has really some great energetical cultivation practices and orientations.

Does someone know of a book that focuses on it without taking the cosmological baggage with it?

Personally, I think the goal should be creating the most powerful “Yin shen” possible and ascending as an evil spirit/yōkai :D

>Personally, I think the goal should be creating the most powerful “Yin shen” possible and ascending as an evil spirit/yōkai
this just means you arent understanding the concepts put forth
but one isnt going to be able to fully do so, or practice from, something like wmontmp
neidan/internal alchemy is a specific process, and if you mess it up it kills you in some way shape or form
there's tons of other stuff that wont do that

Right now my body is still fighting abdominal breathing. The second I stop pushing my breath down everything cramps up and I breath just into my chest and my shoulders move up as well. Looks like anxiety has a pretty firm grip on my nervous system atm.
Can anybody with experience tell me roughly how long it takes to break out of it if I sit down for about 30 minutes each day?

I think you should do some preparatory exercises to release your torso tension.Search Eric Cooper Somatics on youtube where he teaches pandiculation exercise. These are specifically designed to release involuntary tension in your body and free up more breathing spaces.
