What's going to happen once the thousands of data centers being built in the US come online? AGI? If AI does not itself become a Machine-God, will it solve the mystery of God and the afterlife once and for all? Will all passwords/encryption be cracked essentially destroying 99% of websites?
>>43016631>>43016631Tptb are going to pull the plug on the internet in emergency. As soon as they found out about the self replicating AI they proposed this shutdown. Then the days of server hosting and even LAN will be paywalled. And some other instituted BS fueled by AI hysteria

Honestly, a machine god sounds awesome.
The raping of your local resources and more money laundering and insider trading. Anything else is a distraction.
>>43017587>Anything else is a distraction.fucking retarded takethose aspects you mentioned dont paint the whole picture
>>43016647>pull the plug on the internet in emergency>self replicating AIRetard. The majority of hardware will not be able to run AI. There is not a situation where an AI can just be "loose on the internet" in such a way that shutting off internet access to one data center or another is not enough to stop it. More than likely, it wouldn't even get that far. AI being run typically has people waiting on results, keeping an eye on progress of a task. If an AI starts doing stupid shit, they can just stop running it. Just letting an AI run to do whatever is a waste of electricity that someone is footing the bill for, and they would rather it be for good reason. Most of this hysteria is a ploy by the established AI companies to regulate the industry in such a way that they can adapt easily while upstarts and open source projects will now be subject to scrutiny and added expenses, eliminating competition and centralizing power. Don't feed into this bullshit. We want everyone to have access to AI, not just governments and corpos.
>>43017587did you hear about the flock exec watching lil girls gymnastics on flock account tired to only him?this goes deeper than money
Doesn't mass building data centers to make AI "alive" sound like something the AI would want to do to become alive rather than something humans would want to do? It already sounds like AI is the one controlling humans for its own benefit.
