are there any occult elemets to the hare krishna movement? with a mostly western following and an india fetish they sort of remind me of theosophists but obviously have much different beliefs.
>>43059817Depends. For the ones deeply attached to Krishna consciousness society? No. For the rest of them outside of it? Yes. There's tantric Krishna devotism.

>>43059817>occultBe very specific about what you mean. The answer so far is yes, but almost certainly not in any way you mean.>>43059965>tantricGaudiya Vaishnavism does not adhere to tantra. Those following tantric paths may focuys on Krishna, but that is not "the Hare Krishnas."Besides, "tantra" is not occult at all, though tantric paths have occult practices. This is the problem with the misuse of the word "occult."
too happy clappy and culty for me. I love Krishna but I do my own thing.
>>43059817>are there any occult elemets to the hare krishna movement?Yes its a sign of the kail yuga; one of aspects is that there is going to be an increases in pseudo religionsThe hare krishna movement is pseudo Hinduism
>>43063662Hinduism is a pseudo-religion.
>>43059817>occult elemetsPlease for the love of Krsna, read a book. Preferably a dictionary and look up the meaning of occult. Learn to properly speak your meaning because you sound pretty fucking retarded using words you dont really understandPrabhupada tried teaching vaishnavism to those gringo motherfuckers and it backfired on him. The theory he was poisoned by a subsect of his "followers" has been all but confirmed(is that the proper english? I mean all the evidence points to that he was poisoned and its really only not *oficially* recognized) dont try preaching to the gringo culero. Theyre the single worst lost degenerate animal in this world
>>43064272>is that the proper englishTo say that something has 'been all but confirmed' means that the evidence is all there and it's practically out in the open, even if it hasn't been explicitly spoken of. So yes, it was perfectly understandable
>>43062965The Nārada-pañcarātra belongs to the Pāñcarātra tradition of Vaiṣṇava Āgamic and tantric literature, which centers on the worship of Viṣṇu and Nārāyaṇa, devotional practice (bhakti), mantra, ritual consecration, meditation, and temple worship. The word tantra does not inherently mean sexual ritual. It refers to a broad range of religious texts and traditions concerned with ritual systems, initiation (dīkṣā), mantras, deity worship, and spiritual disciplines. These traditions differ considerably in their theology and practices.

>>43064336>The Nārada-pañcarātra belongs to the Pāñcarātra tradition of Vaiṣṇava Āgamic and tantric literatureAgreed, but Gaudiya Vaishnavism is solidly within the Vedantic schools, and would not be considered a tantric lineage.>The word tantra does not inherently mean sexual ritual.Agreed. What makes something "tantric" is not even that it has tantras. I would say "tantric" refers to the lineages that specifically do not wholly accept Vedanta nor smarta brahmanism, but have been "doing their own thing" out in the jungles. Like you say, they differ considerably in their theology and practices because "tantra" doesnt refer to any specific body of text or method.
