I’m 25 and have never had anything even relatively paranormal happen to me. This and the fact that my parents are conspiracy nutjobs has turned me into a hardened atheist. How do I summon an oogabooga so scary it’ll make me stop being an atheist?
Use your will power and wish to meet such a scary oogabooga and pray with all your heart and soul to meet one. In some lonely forest. At night. Maybe that crackling tree branch is the oogabooga approaching. Maybe it is a bear. Either way you'll be much more likely to beg God for help.

>>43086192Well I got pretty close to being an atheist nihilist, you won't live long with that mindset so I was on my way out but just like the way I stumbled upon atheism I came across agnosticism and a plethora of side roads I came across simulation theory and so on, check out Alex O'Connor on YouTube pretty much all your questions and more he himslef is starting to get away from atheism/agnosticism because experience and knowledge tells us there is something more, materialism itself which is no longer the standard result of physics due to quantum physics points to reincarnation at the very least and is full of holes, I personally am starting to go towards simulation theory otherwise the universe would be in equilibrium, just unsure something is wrong we seem to be missing crucial info on how the universe works and it seems intentional, I personally have seen the future during my agnostic phase and disregarded it, it is credible recorded with witnesses so I know something is off, also lots of synchronicities that are not within the normal range of probability.

You're an idiot because you think the only way to stop being an atheist is through paranormal experiences, when throughout the entire history of humanity, the issue has been approached rationally. There are 2,000 years of philosophy on reality and on God. Atheist gurus like Richard Dawkins simply ignore all this philosophy, because it definitively proves that human beings are incapable of truly concluding anything about what lies outside our universe, and this essentially rules out "strong" atheism (or, in my view, all atheism, because I consider atheism to be the denial of God’s existence, not merely a lack of belief in any god).

We have no fucking clue what's actually going on, but we are just now getting into the kooky ideas, the same way our forefathers did until they proved their theories. You would be surprised to know that most people with high IQ's believe in God, but the way they describe him is drastically different than the way a bible thumper would. The book is a slave recruitment book made by misguided slaves. Even they are not free, and their only bragging rights come from being a little more free than their slaves. I have always wondered how far up these chains go.
