Mojave Desert, 1997 — Classified Exchange

We weren't there by accident. We were part of a small team assigned to a classified operation involving the exchange of nuclear waste for technology we had no understanding of.

These encounters had been arranged long before we arrived. They knew exactly where to land, and we had strict instructions not to approach unless directed.

This photograph was taken during one of those exchanges. The beings communicated very little, but they clearly understood why we were there. The entire operation lasted less than 40 minutes.

What disturbed me most wasn't their appearance. It was how routine the entire process seemed to the people overseeing it.
