Once you understand the world through a vegan mindset, spirituality kind of just becomes a LARP, no?

We know that nature is brutal and we're often told it's a dog-eat-dog world, but only after really diving into vegan thought has it become clear just how horrifying reality is on the broader scale. Fish have emotions, memory, and an acute sense of pain. We know through science that something of a someone is *there*, even if we can't easily anthropomorphize them in our minds. Now imagine a bear grabbing you and then tearing your skin off layer by layer as he FUCKING EATS YOU ALIVE.

This is happening on a scale thicker than we can imagine all around the earth, to everyone and everything. To pretend that human beings have any unique insight to this is ridiculous. We are exceedingly good at surviving. That's it. Any form of spirituality usually offers some absolution in the ideal, but most of these forms of spirituality exclude the animal world. How can an animal cease desire? Where is the soul of the praying mantis? There is no primacy to their experience because we are obsessed with ourselves. Even Jesus ate fish.

i'm trans btw

its ok to eat fish because they dont have any feelings

your mistake is assuming the world as it is is as it was or as it was made to be

despite your own desire to change... how strange

tldr nature isnt natural the garden has overgrown to a state of wild

Let me clear that up for you
>New age Spirituality as a larp

Read more, you have a very narrow minded perspective of Spirituality

You know who else was a vegan and fierce advocate of animal welfare, right?

>Even Jesus ate fish.

In the edited bible, sure. In reality he was a lacto-vegetarian. Seeing spirituality as a larp would be easy to do if you've never experienced it.

The spiritual path is not for everyone. Some people are here to simply exist and return to dust. You've accepted that.

For some, suffering is transitory. Out of our own ignorance we become trapped in believing that is all there is, even when we see examples that show otherwise.

Before I became who I am now, my suffering was near constant. I was an excellent loosh battery. It is easy to say "god made him disabled for life! god is cruel!", but in reality there are many in this situation that overcome that state of being and are happy and fulfilled with life. There are those in the middle of war and famine that retain hope and help others endure. For some of us there is more to the equation than just suffering.

Part of that spiritual journey, for those who are souled, is to learn how to overcome it.

don't you think this is a bit childish outlook on the human experience?

God is also in the clash and the fire. God loves the hunter and the prey equally.

Maybe as a very narrow view of spirituality. Suffering is part of the experience. By your own logic, you shouldn't even eat at all. Plants experience pain and have a sort of consciousness and are often consumed while still conscious themselves. Is that not more cruel than the quick death we offer?

Idiot.

You can't use certain functions of your brain without going non linear
You can't go non linear if you don't go "spiritual"

>Once you understand the world through a vegan mindset, spirituality kind of just becomes a LARP, no?
No. Spirituality is the deep, contented joy of being fully satisfied understanding who you are, where you are, and why you are.
That this world is a horror show doesnt change that or stop it from developing.
>To pretend that human beings have any unique insight to this is ridiculous.
But this is exactly what you did when you were asking us to consider fish and bears.
>How can an animal cease desire?
They dont want to. that isnt what an animal body and mind is for. You do that work when you are in a human form of life.
>Where is the soul of the praying mantis?
In samsara, same as yours. You have been an insect, a bear, a fish before.
Now you are human, and you job should be getting out.
But instead you are wasting time.
>>
>>43092795
No./
1 - God didnt give you thoise
2 - gifts dont excuse forcing people into unnecessary suffering
God is like someone who hands you a dollar and expects they get to punch you in the face and have you thank them.
If that is the framework you are presenting, then it has an evil God that should never be followed.

Yo mang it’s me your friend, life is a wonder!
the art of cultivating cellular homeostasis

So, we are saying, originally, the world was not polluted by human consumptive callousnesses, therefore each life form had fulfilment, unlike now where there is strife and baby deaths.. because humans are responsible by killing and slashing and burning.. correct?
Human callous consumptive culture has deteriorated this world, but once we change that, after cultivating true cellular homeostasis, we return to original state, and we all vibe together and dance and make merry! (No horny secs though)

See this all kind of proves my point. We have to go to all these fantastical explanations to justify the reality we’re all facing dead in the face. We have to deconstruct Christianity through Gnosticism because the only way this makes sense is that some evil hierarchy of entities are farming our loosh through suffering. Do you have any idea of how fucking crazy you sound? The only solution to any of this it seems it so posit that the what currently is should not be, and that what is ‘natural’ is completely out of our reach. Stupid. Nobody wants to look at the reality in front of them and accept it.

And also im not vegan myself just yet. Just because I recognize the fucked up hierarchy of life doesn’t mean I’m in any position to roll over. I like living. Likewise, I know that human beings are unique in their capacity to love and understand the universe. I know we can be fulfilled. The gifts we have are astounding but it doesn’t take away from the logical conclusion you reach after considering the billions of other complex consciousnesses. It’s utter pride
>>
>>43092514
>How can an animal cease desire? Where is the soul of the praying mantis?
This is why being an animal is considered a lesser incarnation. You can't atone or let go. You can only try to be the best version of the animal and hope to eventually be incarnated as something higher.

It's all a trap, btw. That's why the point of reincarnation is getting to the point you aren't reincarnated anymore.

>We have to go to all these fantastical explanations to justify the reality we’re all facing dead in the face.
No, we don't. We're stating it as it is; and we do not see a problem with it. Or, at least I do not. The loosh thing comes out of the same new age stuff that you yourself are pandering foolishly. The sorrow is as enrapturing as the joy. Without either, is empty numbness. Stillness. Nothing. Suffering is recontextualized. It's like the number 0. 0 itself does not exist. It is whatever we define the midpoint or reference point to be. As we shift our point of reference, what is suffering changes.

Suffering can be as enjoyable as joy.

Numbness, which is what you propose, is true misery.

If you cannot see the beauty in the pain, then I cannot help you.

Our place is as custodians and stewards. We can't expect the rest of nature to step outside of itself, nor can we expect lower animals to forgo their baser instincts. We shepherd the world the way our greater teachers shepherd us.

Hitler was not a vegan and only became a vegetarian to mitigate his atrocious flatulence. You should be a vegan though

To me it sounds completely rational, based on my experiences and studies. To you it sounds irrational. We all have our place and our part to play.

Being a hylic is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as they dont attempt to harm or farm. The simplicity of ceasing to exist is far less of a burden than trying to escape or move up the ladder.

Reality is really catered to that experience. Even mainstream churches preach only one life to live. It is not the souled person's fault that they have a different life course. Be thankful that when you die, that's it.

मायामात्रमिदं विश्वं पश्यन् विगतकौतुकः ।
अपि सन्निहिते मृत्यौ कथं त्रस्यति धीरधीः ॥ ३-११॥

Seeing this universe as mere māyā, free from fascination, how could the wise-minded one tremble, even when death stands near?

निःस्पृहं मानसं यस्य नैराश्येऽपि महात्मनः ।
तस्यात्मज्ञानतृप्तस्य तुलना केन जायते ॥ ३-१२॥

For the great soul whose mind is free of craving, even amid hopelessness, and who is fulfilled by knowledge of the Self, with whom could any comparison be made?

स्वभावाद् एव जानानो दृश्यमेतन्न किञ्चन ।
इदं ग्राह्यमिदं त्याज्यं स किं पश्यति धीरधीः ॥ ३-१३॥

Knowing by his very nature that all that is seen is nothing in itself, what could the wise one regard as to be accepted or rejected?

अन्तस्त्यक्तकषायस्य निर्द्वन्द्वस्य निराशिषः ।
यदृच्छयागतो भोगो न दुःखाय न तुष्टये ॥ ३-१४॥

For one who has inwardly abandoned impurities, who is free from dualities and without expectations, an experience that comes by chance brings neither sorrow nor satisfaction.

Ashtavakra Gita 3.11-14

Scientific consensus confirms that fish possess emotions, long-term memory, and the capacity to feel pain. Evidence shows that fish have nociceptors (pain receptors) and produce endogenous opioids, with studies demonstrating that painful stimuli cause behavioral changes that are reversed by painkillers, proving the experience is more than a reflex.

Research also refutes the "three-second memory" myth, showing that species like goldfish can remember information for months, distinguish between shapes and colors, and navigate complex mental maps. Furthermore, fish exhibit social complexity, including recognition of individual humans, fear responses to danger, and the ability to learn from past experiences to avoid painful situations.
