Does this presupposed ascension toward the infinite exist in the world of everyday life and mundanity ? Can you really ascend and the day after keep that ascension instead of returning to everyday life.
>>43094165We exist to make meanings worth
>>43094165They say it does. I'm skeptical. But supposing you achieved a really really powerful transcendence, yeah, you'd be able to walk around going to the grocery store and checking out hotties on the sidewalk the next day if you felt like it. Of course you'd be able to. If retarded non-enlightened beings can do it, why wouldn't you be able to? You're not losing something, you're gaining something. Or so they say.
>>43094165Jup. The worst that could happen then is that you fail in your mission. We factor that in. It could even have utility.
>>43094165There are several layers to enlightenment, I don't think any human has undergone trve enlightenment, our brains can't hold that much data
>>43094165It will happen when the Bacon coolsThats when Ill eat breakfastThe plans laid out since the night beforeIm trying to have a complete breakfastWatch for these itemsA few slices of pig, turned to crisp.two offerings from chickens, sun up.Some wheat turned square, slightly fruity. An offering from a tree extra pulpA bean that awakens the soul.
>>43094165no, its the oldest indian scam.there are some natural phenomena dormant within humans, that accidentally/unintentionally awaken or produce some weird (supernatural) effects, that is leveraged/utilized and conflated with the scam and thus, it has been perpetrated for ages. one is hidden even in plain sight - the "placebo" effect, for example, is the inadvertent exercise of one such dormant faculty.its all a scam. there is no up/down, no ascension or a descend.its like ascribing some morality to puberty.this too, is something like puberty, puberty #2, optional and hidden. if you systematically tackle the domain and progress it and unlock a few of those dormant faculties, good for you. there is an active force suppressing it through various means (spraying skies, food, medicine, etc), you gotto overcome the rulers (archons), its an uphill battle and kinda pointless, desu.the status quo disables these faculties, you ought to operate in a limited manner, its some huge experiment being run on what omnipotent beings would do when limited in this manner, in diverse situations... its a specific search space problem being analyzed, i digress.this is why there are white/black magicians. it has got nothing to do with ethics. its just a mechanism, a tool (the supernatural).its not even super, its just that our view of nature is artificially narrow, so things outside of our narrow view, appear beyond nature, but nature is much more than what we perceive.. our false perception is part of us lacking one of the higher, now dormant faculties, that give us sight into these things.so no, there is no ascension in the classical sense.you can train a few skills, unlock some atrophied faculties, sense, you could leverage them for personal gain or for the benefit of others.apart from this, all else is indian (vedic) scam, added ontop of it.
>>43094165Enlightenment is a buzzword, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist, it just means different things to different people, and that’s reflected in every source that speaks of it with that term.
>>43094844Now that would be odd. I do not expect most fellow fleshies to even be capable of rerpoducing any "vision". And that is unfortunate to the human species. :)
The way my teacher explained it to me fits perfectly with Jung's concept of the collective unconscious. Everything in this universe also exists within the mind. The universe is mostly darkness, like the depiction of the collective unconscious here as an iceberg, it's mostly underwater and where light doesn't reach. Your job is to go and shine a light on all of what is there, and accept that it is all you...enlightenment. When Buddha attained it he started singing this song, I forget how it goes but hes saying that he tore down the walls that he himself had built and were keeping him prisoner. I think that yes, when you get to that point you are forever changed. You can return to everyday life, but you can never return to interacting with the world in the same ways you once did.
>>43094977Indeed
>>43094273>"We exist to..."Thats where you messed up
bump
Yes, it exists. That's how I have superpowers. There are certain mechanisms that reveal themselves to people of the uncommon path who are chosen for mechanistic benefit; (however I'd feel unethical to disclose these.)Taking a wife will help, and, drugs will help rarely - most commonly drugs will hurt instead.
>>43094804That's my conclusion too. We are destined to pursue, to always know that we do not know it all. That's the "tree of life" I suppose, infinitely branching forever.
