Rushed, unfinished. Then 2007 hits and Chris Chan gets discovered by the wider internet. The comic sat in relative obscurity for years, but the internet only found it the year after 06 dropped. From the late 2000s through the 2010s, public mockery of Sonic reached its peak. Sonichu functions as a kind of focal point or vessel, sustained by collective negativity directed at the Sonic brand. This ridicule appears to have fed it.
