He can’t change on his own. This is a can of worms that I believe even the best psychologists would struggle in handling. He’s highly intelligent, considerably mentally ill with a lot of wounds. It’s sad because he’s not necessarily a bad person, his mind is just a disaster. He’ll be in tears, telling me about how he doesn’t know how to be a parent, but then repeatedly makes idiotic mistakes.

I think your graphic novel is going to be successful at the end of things, j just think the journey to get there is really difficult.
