Nice, /omg/!I've gotten myself on this again.> Woke up one morning and decided I would quit my job> Stopped fapping and weed> Started doing the LBRP and the MPR everyday> Started reading magik for beginners by Kraig> Started recording all my results> Started doing them twice, added yoga and at least 5 minutes of meditation per day> No more social anxiety, no more anxiety in general> Vidya urges are no more, thinking of selling my steam deck (I spent all day gaming before, now my will for it is non existent)> Spend my time reading, taking walks, meditating and studying magicTook a walk today, cemitery in my town is located on a hill where I have a nice view of the sunset, so I spent some time there looking at the colors and smoking cigars. Came home and sat down with a headache, did the LBRP and the MPR and bam, they're gone. I'm starting to think that if I don't banish daily I'll get back to it, that the urge to fap, to drink, to do drugs and shit have to be seen as demons from a practical perspective, and that if I stop banishing they'll come back with a vengeance.Am now looking for the next step in my path, as soon as I feel my visualizations are getting better and that my meditation is getting me to where it once has I'll start laerning the rituals of the hexagram. On another note, does anyone have experiences with the Lesser Invoking Rituals of the Pentagram? Some books tell me to do it in the morning instead of the LBRP but guess I'm addicted to Banishing now ahah
You know what's fucked up?This thread is unironically as good as it gets. I've looked at every other alternative. r/occult, r/witchcraft, wizard forums, occult forums, become a living god, plenty of facebook groups, IRC channels, discord groups, instagram groups, etc etc. They're all fucking shitholes that have become echo chambers for hyper sensitive faggots a million times worse than this.Count your blessings fellow anons, if we don't keep this thread alive, we might as well just pack it up and go solitary completely, zero contact with other magi. Fuck the other options. You want to go to those places? You want to talk about the occult with the people on those websites? Be my fucking guest. I'll be hanging out here, bumping this thread with useful books and topics in the meanwhile.
>>43109588It isThanks for contributing anonI miss fringechan and old x :(In reddit you sort by popular and it's only memes, you really have to dig for any sort of knowledgeDo you guys know the mind and magick YouTube channel, what do you think about him? Used to follow him and I can relate to most he's saying but I feel like he's only a grifter now, can't even tell you why.

>>43109523>On another note, does anyone have experiences with the Lesser Invoking Rituals of the Pentagram?>Some books tell me to do it in the morning instead of the LBRP but guess I'm addicted to Banishing now ahahBy "some books" I take it you mean the black brick. A lot of pedantic Golden Dawn purists will say to invoke (and may even neglect banishing entirely) but others (i.e. Ciceros) will say that it's better to only do the banishing version of the pentagram ritual in the beginning. The A.O. papers apparently affirm this.
Been deep in researching Agrippa lately. Purdue's English translation has a lot of errors. Agrippa also often wrong about anything to do with Greek mythology or history, thanks to the intermediaries he had to depend on.
The /omg/ thread is back, fuck yeah!>>43109264>How am I doing, /x/? What should be added or removed? Why is there nothing by Skinner and Rankine? What about the stuff by Crowley and Golden Dawn? Also, what is supposed to be "102" in the "Spirits" section? And why no Summoning stuff? I'd rather have that then the "History of Cunning Folk" and "Exorcism".>>43109588100% agree with you!>>43109523>Vidya urges are no more, thinking of selling my steam deck (I spent all day gaming before, now my will for it is non existent)Instead of selling it, just buy a dock and use it as a secondary/spare PC, it saved my life when my main PC had problems.>Some books tell me to do it in the morning instead of the LBRP but guess I'm addicted to Banishing now ahahInvoking is useful when you need a specific energy for rituals, or just because you might need that energy in that moment. And yes, it's suggested you'd do the Invoking by morning and the respective Banishing in the evening, because you need to learn it by heart, and to observe how your body and mind are affected by it (the Invoking, I mean).
Here is an excellent website for learning about the grimoire tradition of summoning and conjuring demons through pacts.https://grimorium.lat/en/
Here is another excellent website where you can keep an online grimoire and customize it however you want.https://shrine404.neocities.org/grimoire

Here is Ape's library, it's a magnet so use your favorite torrenting application. It's roughly 60 GB I think. https://pastes.io/mFGu0R3c
Are we back?As in, is Occult General back?Is /x/ back to being cool?

Anyone here working with self made thoughtforms and hypersigils?
>>43110821>Anyone here working with self made thoughtforms and hypersigils? Not hypersigils, but I did briefly worked for on thoughtforms to create a servitor.I stopped working on it and decided to focus more on mental training, to achieve Gnosis through meditations, instead of using the "other" method.
>>43110838Alright, fair enoughDid you read some specific material about servitors? Also have you made progress with your meditations?
>>43110821I made a simple Servitor a couple weeks ago. The results have been mixed, I think he's doing his job but there's some tuning needed.I'm working on a couple... actually three Hypersigil projects. One follows the Morrison model, the other two are considerably weirder and more abstract. I don't think any of them will be ready anytime soon.
>temporary lockdown for php updatesWhat a boring day this has been.>>43109984>Why is there nothing by Skinner and Rankine?I thought I had some of their work in Grimoires, but upon closer inspection, I only have two from Rankine (Book of Gold and Grimoire of Arthur Gauntlet) and none from Skinner. Odd. What do you recommend? I suppose I should include A Cunning Man's Grimoire by them both, as well as Skinner's "Magician's Tables," not sure how I missed the former.>What about the stuff by Crowley and Golden Dawn?I'm not really fond of either, but I suppose I'll have to include them to be thorough, eh?>Also, what is supposed to be "102" in the "Spirits" section?Oh shit, sorry. 102 is meant to be its own section, like an intermediate/advanced form of the 101. The multi-book collections listed below it.>And why no Summoning stuff? I'd rather have that then the "History of Cunning Folk" and "Exorcism".The history of Cunning Folk is interesting to me, and I'm more keen on banishing than summoning. I do have some other texts on summoning in Grimoires, like the Book of Oberon and An Excellent Booke on the Arte of Magick. Is the Cambridge Book of Magic a book on summoning? Like I said, I'll take recommendations. I could add the Keys of Solomon as a re-read.>>43109902>Purdue's English translation has a lot of errors.Really? I thought he was working to clear up a lot of mistakes in the JF translation. What kinds of errors are there? Is the Black Letter Press version any better? I don't have that one yet.
What happened to that monkey that knew everything?
>>43110850>Did you read some specific material about servitors? The usual books, by Hine, Carrol and Frater U.D.>Also have you made progress with your meditations?Still working on it, but I'm starting to think that accumulated energy works (like the Middle Pillar) might be what makes the real difference.>>43110876By Skinner "Techniques of Solomonic Magic", and by him and Francis King "Techniques of High Magic", but every book curated by him is usually a must-buy book.By Rankine "Clavis Intelligentiarum" and "Clavis Spirituum", plus his giant Grimoire Encyclopedia work. For Crowley, put Lon Milo Duquette "The Magick of Aleister Crowley: A Handbook of the Rituals of Thelema" and the two books by Marco Visconti " The Aleister Crowley Manual"and "Aleister Crowley's Mysticism: A Practical Guide", plus the completed LIBER ABA curated by Skinner. For GD, the complete edition curated by Israel Regardie.
>>43111028It took him a while, but he realised that you can't polish a turd
I want the 500+ stuff not the perpetual 101 revolving door neophyte inanities
>>43110821by "hypersigil" are you referencing Aiden Wachter's approach to chaos animism? If so, based. If not, you may want to look into that author. They have three books out so far, and one of them is specifically about hypersigils.
>>43111045>Ceremonial magic>six listed missingSome of which I thought I'd have, it's a pretty damn thorough collection. Hoo boy, you don't make it easy.Incidentally, as I was looking through my library for Skinner's works, I stumbled upon an X-Files image, so... pic semi-related?>>43111653>hypersigilI'd assume Anon is referring to the work of Grant Morrison. But I can second the Wachter recommendation, I need to read those other two books.
>>43111798"Clavis Intelligentiarum" and "Clavis Spirituum" are the BEST books for learning how to do summoning starting from zero! The books by Duquette and Visconti are also the best for starting Crowley's work knowing nothing on Magick!>Incidentally, as I was looking through my library for Skinner's works, I stumbled upon an X-Files image, so... pic semi-related?lol
>>43111798Oh wait. Huh...>>43111868I suddenly realized that in my various edits of my post, I completely lost the context that I have a really large library of ebooks of my own.Of the ones you just mentioned, I only have DuQuette's book on Crowley (which came as a surprise to me). Meanwhile, the Clavis books (and anything by Visconti) are missing.I'm also missing "Techinques of Solomonic Magic" and "Liber ABA" which are also surprises. So... a-hunting we will go.
>>43111894You should be able to find all these ebooks "in the usual places", except the Liber ABA by Skinner, which doesn't have an ebook version and I don't think has ever been scanned. Also, the Clavis Spirituum is difficult to find, but I have a shitty scan.Once catbox returns operative, I'll upload it for you.
>>43111922Thanks. Yeah, I think I was able to find everything except the Rankine books. If I didn't recently quit my job like an idiot, I could have probably just gotten the physical books.Well, no I couldn't. That job paid shit.
>>43111960Fuck catbox, here's the books:https://gofile.io/d/9FzWGUxn>If I didn't recently quit my job like an idiot, I could have probably just gotten the physical books.>Well, no I couldn't. That job paid shit.Sorry bro, hope things will get better soon...
>>43111967>ClavesWell there's why I couldn't find them, I kept looking for "Clavis." Anyway, thanks. Just missing the Grimoire Encyclopedia, but I can probably manage without. And thanks. I might try and do a spell or two to boost my job hunting. Also working on a few projects that I could try to monetize, now that I don't have so many days spent wasted and wearing me down physically and emotionally. Also gives me time to read.
>>43111992>Well there's why I couldn't find them, I kept looking for "Clavis."Fuck, sorry.>Just missing the Grimoire EncyclopediaI think that one also doesn't have a scan or ebook available.>And thanks. I might try and do a spell or two to boost my job hunting.>Also gives me time to read.Good luck! And, like Jason Miller said "What's the point of doing magic if it doesn't help you pay your bills?"
>>43109039Is dangerous to meddle with certain Sorts.Tread carefully .
>>43112063>And, like Jason Miller said "What's the point of doing magic if it doesn't help you pay your bills?"Too true. I've been asking, myself, "What good is magic if we can't do anything practical?"I'm mostly thinking of the people who hold to the psychological model. If it's all in our head, then it's mostly self-hypnosis and self-help. Barely magic at all.>>43112083My tired ass thought you said it was dangerous to meddle with certain Scots.Would you like to explain your vagueposting?
>>43112206>Too true. I've been asking, myself, "What good is magic if we can't do anything practical?"If you watch/listen to Skinner and Rankine interviews on Youtube, they say multiple times that summoning entities, both in the past and even now, was done to obtain materialistic results, like money, women and so on, together with spiritual results. They also say that hey personally summoned entities for their own gain, monetary and health- related, so take that as you will.
