Sasquatch’s existence has never depended on the Patterson Gimlin film. BEFORE any cameras in 1967, Native tribes across the Pacific Northwest and far beyond already spoke of these beings/creatires in DETAILED ORAL TRADITIONS that stretch back generations. In many of those accounts they are not treated as ordinary animals but as another tribe. They’re described as forest people who keep to themselves, live by their own rules, and are regarded with a mix of caution and respect. They are not animals in the normal sense, which is why the absence of bodies or definitive physical proof does not close the question the way it would for a normal species. The remaining wilderness is still vast enough, remote enough, and rarely traveled enough that something (or someone) living on those terms could remain largely unseen. The film was simply one modern sighting or hoax added to a much deeper history. In a weird way the people of the North Sentinel Island are a good example.
Even with decades of logging, road building, and development, the scale of what remains is still hard for most people to grasp. Vast stretches of the Pacific Northwest, the Rockies, the Appalachians, and the boreal forests farther north are still genuinely remote and dense, roadless, and rarely walked by anyone. Maps and population density figures can make the country feel fully known and settled, but they often downplay how much terrain is still effectively untamed, how many valleys and ridgelines see almost no human traffic year after year. With that knowledge, the sheer volume of Sasquatch reports becomes harder to dismiss as pure noise: thousands of sightings have been logged across North America over the decades, many from experienced outdoorsmen, hunters, and people who had no interest in becoming public figures. A tribe of people know how to hide.

Giving a white man sole credit for a shared general concept propagated by indigenous peoples for centuries
Sounds like erasing native culture for the purposes of assimilation

shut up and give examples

You're going to write off all nonwhite cultures as fake anyway, don't pretend to be open
>>
>>43117820
It's possible that those indigenous people propagated those stories as a means of making themselves feel culturally relevant. The last people that knew about their existence, making them feel special in the midst of an every changing landscape they no longer recognized. It doesn't necessarily mean they're all bs, just that they had their reasons for carefully passing on their oral traditions and those reasons might not be as esoteric as we think.

Their cultures were very clear about any additional meanings that a symbol or word had. They had no concept of allegories, metaphors, or euphemisms. While they had the concept of divine creators, these were different from the European idea of God being the only force above or alongside man, they did not consider nature to be below them or something whose operations could be dictated by our wills. It's not man who speaks nature into existence.

You are very misguided. Tipis, what you’re calling “tents” were mainly used by the nomadic and semi nomadic Plains peoples who followed the buffalo. Plenty of other nations had completely different homes. Coast Salish and other Pacific Northwest tribes, for example, built large permanent cedar plank longhouses. The Pueblo peoples of the Southwest lived in multi story adobe and stone structures. Iroquois and other Eastern Woodland groups used longhouses of a different design. Navajo built hogans. Many California and Plateau tribes had their own distinct dwellings. European colonists and later American settlers also scalped, and colonial governments actively encouraged it by paying bounties for Native scalps. In several conflicts the practice was carried out more systematically by Europeans and settlers because of those bounties

The video was never similar to what was jumping through the trees over my head in 1988. The thing was jumping about the width of three lanes every jump and then barely rustling the leaves as it launched itself towards another tree thirty feet or more to the next landing on another tree trunk making the entire tree produce a sound like a wooden xylophone note.. weighing similar to a grand piano.
I didn't see it even when the leaves barely provided cover for it directly overhead.. but it had come through the trees jumping from trunk to trunk passing from southeast towards the northwest and was heading towards a heavily populated area along the nature corridor. A golf course was later built near the path it had been traveling. No creature I am aware of could have moved the way the thing was moving through the trees. Nothing I am aware of could have been the size of whatever was jumping from tree to tree judging from the sound produced by the landings. The video is not of anything even close to moving in the manner of what I was near. It's always been odd to me the idea that it would walk anything like a human would, it's simply far far more powerful and could have just jumped one time directly out of view if it were the same thing I was near.

Other people were also reporting the presence of these things in the area of counties in north Texas at the time.

Patterson-Gimlin is just a reenactment of the William Roe encounter that turned out to be good enough to pass off as the real thing.

I’m actually Caucasian bud with only a small percent of native American in me. I’m not quite sure when but my ancestors are a hot pot of welsh, Scandinavian, Norse, Scottish well apparently my heritage is from all of those places somehow, anyways my ancestors came here a some point as workers and I somehow ended up in the south with a country accent. Fuckin weird man, don’t go assuming shit about people, you only appear to be a retard.

This is according to a DNA test btw, we’re primarily of Welsh decent. One aide of the family is rich however I’m stuck on 5e poor side but I think that’s all I’ll tell you. I shouldn’t have to explain shit to you retards because you assume so much.
>>
>>43120060
Then why are you sticking up so hard for a defective culture that can't compete? You watched too much Pocahontas as a child? (Understandable, that bitch is hot)

This is why we can’t have beautiful things, we erased beautiful things in the name of Christianity and xenophobia. We’re all one race btw, just some of us have adapted to different regions. Not spitting in the face of spirituality no Christianity foes that enough. >>43120275 I agree with you about Christianity and Israel but not that last part. Pretty soon here you’re both gonna have to face the truth yourself. Some wicked shit is about to be unleashed upon all of us. Best to keep our families close.
>>43120171
People actually believe that, yes. It’s so dumb to be honest.
>>
>>43120095
I also hate what we’ve become in modern times and yearn for a more… primitive time. I ‘dunno nature shit I ‘reckon. People go insane if they lose an internet connection and the depressing part is I understand it. I miss fishing and haven’t done any his year.
