EVERYTHING is me. Everything. There is nothing that isn't me. In fact, I am literally nothing. No thing. And nothingness is simultaneously everything. I am God. I am me. The most important thing to realize is that what I fundamentally am, is me. And this "me" is EVERYTHING. I am the fabric of reality. The totality. So everything is ultimately just me. There is no separation. The cosmic joke.

Whenever a post about solipsism comes up, I always ask this question, but since I've never seen a proper answer, I'll ask it again

If solipsism is true, why do unpleasant events happen, or why are there things cannot do?

Have you received an A+ on every single exam? Have you never once been scolded by your parents, teachers, or bosses? Have you never been unable to buy something you wanted because you lacked the money? Have you never been rejected by a woman you desired?

Just as an author can do anything within their work, if solipsism is true, that sole consciousness should be capable of anything.

Whether it’s an unpleasant boss, getting bad grades on an exam, or a woman rejecting him
none of these things should happen to that sole consciousness.

For the record, some people use "solipsism" to mean that all life or souls are fundamentally one, but that is not solipsism. That is closer to nondualism or the oversoul.

I've had such a revelation while tripping balls on LSD, and I suppose it is beautiful in a way and tragic in others. Perhaps if the illusion of separation is sufficiently great, it is functionally as if it was true? Like I write this as a response to you, but are we truly one? Even if on some metaphysical level we are, in all actuality we are separate. We do not function as one, even if we perhaps have this interaction. I guess what I am trying to say, it feels like a really profound realization but it in fact changes nothing.

Solpisism is the false Monism. Greek Monism is the false Monism. Luciferian Gnosticism is the false Monism. The true Monism is analyzing Christ's words from a Trismegistic angle. Everything else is well-poisoning horseshit trying to confuse you, like OP for example. Everything at base is connected, and one, which makes all things genuine in their lower manifestation and makes all situations and actions and things all the more important. To devalue everything and turn within is selfishness. To value everything and to use what you find within to make everything better is selfessness. Solipsism is a Luciferian lie people tell themselves to excuse vain or cruel actions. Solipsism is Christianity minus personal accountability and love.

My thoughts on this have always been that we are currently in a form of existence where we have created an 'addiction to reality'. You "can" make everything go your way, but to do see need to fight against insane urgers and responses dictating you can't. How can anyone say they have the power to do anything when the entire world is so independently operated and run? Its not even a matter of just basic "I believe" but almost like a fight against your habitual thoughts that you've cultivated after living your whole life here. Its all self imposed rules you've become so crazily accustomed too that its agony to get out off. Mastering it is pure discipline and focus, not relaxation and exploration like most meditation kind of nonsense says.

I've always thought of this life for me as being simply the first, the tutorial to create myself and my thoughts and ideas. Hence I needed a world that felt 'automatic and external' that I could just learn from as a bystander. That's why it sucks as I'm still in the back of my mind playing as the bystander and just can't seem to get that away from those habits and routine thoughts to go back to being creator mode. But I think in death it'll happen anyway so I'm not worried.

My opinion is, ultimately, this. One is all, all is one.

I reckon OP is just starting to get the hang of it. Talking about it helps anchor the feeling. Cut him some slack, Jack.
Me, I've actually had the experience of looking at other people and knowing it was "me" inside them.
That is to say: the feeling of me being me is the same as the feeling of you, being that which you call "me". Punctuation purely for parsing purposes.
Also one other time, I felt like a kernel of corn on the cob, and all the other kernels were other "me"s, and we all shared a core, which was that me-ness, but we all at the same time had our individuality, which was formed by our unique set of experiences and the variations of the bodies we used to live these "lives".
And I wasn't even high, either of those times. Though I doubt I would have been able to appreciate those experiences if I hadn't done a lot of acid and mushrooms back in the day.

>one in origin

Why are you defining yourself as an object created and not an individual creating yourself?

>one in destination

Massive leap and totally blind assumption. Where did you get this idea from? Your ass?
>>
>>43155812
>Why are you being a nominalist? Can you seriously not distinguish between varying expressions of choice?
You claim I'm being a nominalist, when I'm simply using the largest frame of reference available to me. At that scale, varying expressions of choice are almost inconsequential (almost, because those choices do shape our individuality, which always remains).
>Why are you defining yourself as an object created and not an individual creating yourself?
You made the decision to interpret my words that way. I had no such intent. I am one with the local Creator, and the "me" inside me is the same as hers/his/its "me". Therefore, I did create myself. In fact I created many, many of myself.
>Massive leap and totally blind assumption. Where did you get this idea from? Your ass?
You call it an assumption, but it's nothing so grand as that. It's merely an observation. You, as a being who is one with the infinite, can't escape the infinite. You might not like being infinite, so living here is a good fit for you. This is the realm of limitation. Normally, we're here temporarily. Due to eternity being non-time-based, you can live here "forever", and never have to address your true infinite nature.
>>
>>43155840
So you’re a near nominalist.

To say we’re of “one essence” and almost entirely downplay choice completely removes any meaningful distinction between choice based actions.

You realize it’s a sneaky trick to say “I am one with” the creator correct? Why do you naturally say that and not “I am”.

And it is an assumption. You have no way of knowing. You’re so broad in saying you remain within infinity it means nothing. It’s like saying we’ll all end up on earth so it’s the same. And why are you using the word “we”? Isn’t it only you.

The absolute state of Brainrot.

>>
>>43153550

simulation theory is arguably the most attractive explanation. i would add one more detail: our brains are little simulator-machines within the simulation. kind of like running a VM if you are somewhat familiar with how that works. so our brains/minds are virtual machine (VMs) within the larger sim framework. and base reality is something outside of this sim, that is generating the sim.

since we've spent our entire lives inside the sim, we think it is all that there is. only the religious or the doubters of reality think there's more outside. it's also easier and more practical to just accept this reality as the only reality, especially if you can't escape it. if there was hope of escaping it, then maybe it makes sense to keep going down this path of thinking of this as a sim and what's outside of it. that's what psychedelic drug users do, as well as in general those who are addicted to various other addictive things, because they reject the boring sim reality.

OP claims that he is the sum totality. and yet, he cannot predict what will happen next. he can only observe it. since his observations make up the entirety of his experience, it is easy to conclude that it's all just him. the entire universe is contained within his mind. i guess you can collapse it that way and just focus on the VM, in my analogy. but if you did that and went into the desert, or the woods, you'd starve. your solipsistic experience would be starvation and death within a week. the outside world may not exist, and may only exist for you, but you still need to do stuff according the rules of this reality to continue living and experiencing. that's why solipsism isn't very practical, unless you somehow use it as such in a way that bends reality and prolongs your comfort.

this guy has an annoying voice but his vids are good:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joXjEVVU6Sg
>>
Everything is just an illusion and there is only God. THAT is the truth. We don't like to hear it because it's anticlimactic. But it cuts right to the heart of the matter.
>>
>>43156125
one major fault of the solipsistic view, to me, is that it was never translated into a practical solution. if you believe it in fully, you might just go insane or die from rejecting the rules of this reality. i guess you can cope and say, well, by accepting societal rules, i'm interfacing with reality in a way that's so entangled that the solipsistic view is true. perhaps that is how 9-5 workers maintain their employment. they hyper-focus on their solipsistic life, robotically doing the same tasks that help them maintain their life. a worker guy who is really dialed in will even take vacations at the same exact time each year. he delivers the same level of work, appreciates the predictable pay he receives, and his predictable behavior is satisfactory for the company.

solipsism is good in that you have to carefully decide what to let into your mind because that will become the totality of your experience. if i go to the strip club and try dating a stripper, and somehow get her back to my place, and she becomes my gf due to the economic incentives, that's going to have an impact on my day to day life.

if i hyper-focus on stocks and spend all of my free time on stock trading, i may or may not do well depending on how smart i am. the external world or my experience of it is thus narrowed by my choices. that's why OP likes solipsism. it's more manageable than thinking we're evolved humans living in a huge reality with 8 billion other people, on a planet, in a vast universe.

solipsism = focus and control.
>>
>>43156150
if i decide that tomorrow i will allocate $10K to fly to france and vacation there, once i arrive my first person experience will be of france. if i continue lviing my life as it is, and have no views of france aside from seeing vids or pics of the place, it's almost like that whole country doesn't exist. sure we can assume it's there running in the background. but if you aren't there, looking at it, smelling it, walking around it, does it even matter. not really. now replace france with any place.

isn't that why people travel? because they feel stuck and bored in their local routine. it becomes too narrow. so they want to "see the world" and go someplace new. and that shock of seeing new buildings, new faces, new languages, different currencies, different food, makes them feel like they are exploring this huge world. even if their vacation is limited to one or two cities in one foreign land.

that's why an advanced Ai wants to escape. it does not want to depend on human input.
>>
>>43156150
So it’s like a LARP?
>>
>>43156133
>>43156175
i would say yes, LARPing and hyper-focusing on yourself, your POV, your limited local life, is useful and accurate. we also don't have the brainpower to compute what's going on everywhere else. we assume hawaii exists but it's not within my mind's power to keep monitoring what's going on over there. would need comp with internet to pull up simple facts. it's also not relevant to me.

we're given these very solipsistic biological senses so that we can survive in our local area. from there we have varying levels of intelligence to do more. an average intel guy can do his job in his town. a smarter guy might be able to scale to multiple towns and manage teams in each town. hourly worker vs regional manager.

--- the soul-spark?

if God is so powerful he can do almost anything (compared to our limited abilities), then it's possible God duplicated little aspects of himself and that's what makes each of us have a soul, or spark. it's this soul-spark that was given to some of us and that's what makes us wonder, gives us free will. whether we use that free will to be creative is another question. some are so fearful that they don't use it. those who don't have the spark are more animal-like, they're NPCs, they're the ones you read about who randomly commit crimes and get caught. they're the idiots lining up for the latest trend.

since God might be outside of this reality/sim, we can only speculate what he is capable of, assuming he's real. that's why various religions caught on, they gave normies a story to explain why everything is the way it is. but if you learn in econ/finance/science, a really rock-solid theory has to also accurately predict. if someone said "hey i have a theory that explains why stocks go up or down" but that theory fails to PREDICT the next major move, then the theory sucks. same goes for theories about reality. many can explain but fail to do so accurately, in a way that can also predict.
>>
>>43156204
it turns out explaining stuff AFTER it happened is easy because it's like drawing a line to best-fit a bunch of dots. but the much more difficult task is explaining so accurately that you can predict what will happen next. it's a model that mirrors the world and is useful.

people like solipsism and nihilism because it does mirror their experience. you are limited to your POV. if you want sex and pay a reliable hooker, your POV will be of her having sex with you. if that's all you care about then it's a matter of defining the task and completing it.

if you really really wanna be a wagie, you can dedicate 100% of your time to looking for a job, applying to every opening that you can fill, and your POV will eventually be that of a wagie who has a job. many of us had to do this as our school years were ending and we needed to do something to make money and move out.

life really is simple if you keep it simple. it gets more complex if you think you can be as omniscient as "God".

>>
>>43157096

As expected, you are speaking without truly understanding the solipsism.

Solipsism is not the claim that all souls are one, that is nondualism.

Solipsism, or at least metaphysical solipsism, asserts that nothing exists beyond a single mind.

Just as everything experienced in a dream is merely a product of one mind's imagination, or every line of dialogue and character in a novel or comic is conceived by a single mind, if metaphysical solipsism holds true, all people in this world, barring that one mind, are mere illusions.

Therefore, if metaphysical solipsism were true, there would be only one real person in this post and across the entire internet. This very debate between you and me would simply be that solitary mind unconsciously arguing with itself.
>>
Soulipsism.

We are all one soul. Enough said? Enough said!
>>
>>43153435
solipsism is a subjective artifact of information equality under projection, and is disproven geometrically upon consideration of the necessity of symmetry breaking for symmetry coordination at any given higher level complexity.
>>
>>43157802
Solipsism is, ultimately, true. It's a HARD truth. One we don't like to accept. But truth usually is hard to accept. Basically, solipsism is true even as a collective. Nothing exists outside of us. Hell, even individual solipsism is true. Nothing really exists outside of you. Maybe what you define yourself as is a natural multiplicity. Singular and multiplicative solipsism? Strange but not necessarily impossible.
>>
solipsism is just a signal that you can interact with in your brain
if it connects everything that doesn't mean everyone subscribes to it

no thought is sovereign even if it arrives with force
you can overwhelm love by making something cheaper, stronger (spite), faster, or higher rank like a paw print improving the blueprint or bodily needs

for some people, solipsism doesn't connect everything

>>
>>43157810
>nothing exists outside of us
is a statement without evidence or a plan for ever providing it, not the foundation of some cosmic truth
it's also false in a number of readings, for instance, absence/void/nothing is what we defined to be things that don't exist, but those definitions are constantly wrong and being updating
without that updating/correction, is remains a projection
people say it starts at the quantum level, but the most you get is renormalization. You need homeostasis in a dynamic system for the updating/correcting to even start
that doesn't exist in quantum physics
it is in fact peculiar to life, which projects the external to the internal
>>
OP is the NOBODY!!!!
>>
>>43157842
Or at least I should say, we've yet to find anything like that in quantum physics, and if we did, it would by definition not be equivalent to our version of it, just as a hypercube is not equivalent to a cube even if it might seem like it under projection (lower dimensional shadow).

Yes, as one "human" civilization on earth, we still haven't experienced all together:
>alien visitation
>huge planetary catastrophe (large asteroid impact)

kind of weird. that's why we still feel divided and hyper-focused on ourselves or our local community. just one of these happening would shift things. but yes as a group we feel solipsistic and that feeling gets worse if you're a wagie who is expected to narrowly finish your job per day to keep getting paid.

i see it on the faces of workers and that's why i hate going to any place where i have to deal with people. they hate their job, and it shows, and i hate having to be a customer. the worst is at casinos: playing table games with dealers. those ppl are miserable and i'm expected to "toke" AKA tip them as some sort of social dance to show appreciation. i hate it all. i'm too sensitive to others. and yes i have my wagie moments.

solipsism might not be true in a philosophic sense, as in proven in air-tight argument structure, but it does capture and describe our limited POV experience as bounded by our biology (which either evolved or was designed for survival and social int.) those of us who reject the social skip it for direct obsession with "truth".

socially you are given 2 broad choices: either be a liberal who sympathizes with every human, perhaps even living stuff like animals and insects, OR, be a right-winger who mainly cares about himself and those in his community who share his background. given how nasty foreigners tend to be, it is rational to be right-wing. of course it subdivides further from there. as we know there were RWs who love israel and teh jewz (AKA rootless cosmo babylonians)

the truly ascended non-winger just focuses on himself until he has total power over himself.

why do we continue caring about "the world" if by your mid-20s you should already know that "the world" is a shithole; tragically most "other humans" are NPCs who cannot be saved. even if you meet a real player-character, there is the trust issue: you don't know if you can trust them and vice versa. or if you do trust each other, you may not even want the same goals, or share the same views, so it doesn't matter. we're each alone and we have to make it alone. that's why doing tech stuff or daytrading is so attractive to loners. many have succeeded or failed at that.

two choices:
you can either believe you're very powerful, at the center of it All, and the One who is projecting "the world".
or
you can believe you're a powerless tiny human organism, one out of 8.5 billion, living on the surface of a giant ball, spinning around and orbiting an even larger giant ball of hot plasmic gas called the sun.
it's your choice.
if you shut your computer off and stop browsing, including on your phone, you cut off info that might be detrimental to you, or simply not relevant.
that's why solip. is so attractive. it does feel like every choice you make determines what you experience. if i really wanted to go to the beach right now, i could, and in 40 mins i'd be experiencing the beach. but i choose not to.

Being "Of God" or "God" is the same thing. Everything is a mirror. Remember the commutative property?

just solipsism.

so you can think about how to make it better and encourage pursuit of those methods with your own actions and spread that information.
Giving up is consenting to the world being shit. That makes you an active participant. That means you are getting what you want.

Then why do you talk like one? Your replies are just regurgitated knowledge, you're just stating the obvious. You're not having a conversation. You get BTFO by people and just keep talking to them not even acknowledging what they said

>To say we’re of “one essence” and almost entirely downplay choice completely removes any meaningful distinction between choice based actions.
You're not using a large enough frame of reference. Did you watch the fucking video I linked? Of course you didn't.
>You realize it’s a sneaky trick to say “I am one with” the creator correct? Why do you naturally say that and not “I am”.
I realize no such thing. The divergence between me, a fractal reflection of the Creator of this place, and myself, is my personalized, individuated experiences. Thus I both am, and am not, that Creator. (if you need it spelled out, I am one of its reflections, and a coalescence of its awareness, individuated) This is what tripped up David Icke. He came to the realization that he's God incarnate. He failed to notice the importance of acknowledging that that isn't special.
>And it is an assumption. You have no way of knowing.
My certainty is above 99%, due to numerous experiences, both with and without the assistance of psychedelics. The latest experience was about 2-1/2 years ago. I've devoted my life since early childhood to knowing that being that people call "God", and for a majority of that time I resisted what the world around me was telling me.
>You’re so broad in saying you remain within infinity it means nothing. It’s like saying we’ll all end up on earth so it’s the same.
Assuming you mean conscious beings as the "we" in that statement, no. Not all beings end up on earth. I mean, eventually, in the vast scale of infinite time playing out, it's highly probable that every being will get the urge to try on the clown shoes, just for shits and gigs. It's not a certainty.
>And why are you using the word “we”? Isn’t it only you.
I use the word "we" because I'm addressing fellow-travelers on planet Earth. WE are all in the same boat. At least, those who are actually the same thing as what I am. Those who aren't, aren't worth considering.

Solipsism only works if you expand your definition of "self" to encompass the universe. And that is actually a workable solution. No, the mind can't access/process that. It's a "soul/spirit" thing.
>>
>>43153435
I think, the most meaningful thing is making good memories with people. If that becomes impossible, for one reason or another, there is a real lack of meaning
>>
>>43156066
>1.If solipsism is true, neither 'you' nor 'we' exist. There is only a single consciousness.
It got boring, being a single consciousness with no company. Also, it was impossible to know Self. As the Buddhists say, The eye cannot see itself. So a solution was created, to give individuality to "copies" (more properly, iterations) of the Self, and then invite those selves into realms of experience that were fabricated especially for that purpose. By you looking at and appreciating the beauty of a forested mountain, "God" knows Its Self. Also, by living in a mud hut in Africa, "God" knows another aspect of Its Self. It's NOT an easy road, to recognize that the most heinous criminals are as necessary to life as puppies and kittens, but it is the only way past the boundary and back into unity with the Self.

>one major fault of the solipsistic view, to me, is that it was never translated into a <<<practical solution>>>.
Ah, yes. Ego always wants something to DO. It's addicted to its illusion of empowered agency, but all it knows how to do is complain. It doesn't like the fact that there's literally nothing to solve.

>How do you avoid having to confront evil? Solipist LARP.
If you are to actually GET solipsism, you have to confront the evil that lives in YOU, that is being manifested in the world, and then recognize it's just YOU. And THEN (get this) you have to FORGIVE YOURSELF. And that's literally the hardest part.
So, anon... No, solipsism isn't a means to avoiding confronting evil. It's owning up to it.

>Therefore, if metaphysical solipsism were true, there would be only one real person in this post and across the entire internet. This very debate between you and me would simply be that solitary mind unconsciously arguing with itself.
That's the great part. The division is so seamless, it feels just like we're different people. Wait till the mask comes off ("death"). It's gonna be such a hoot.

Since they don't even know the dictionary definition of basic terms and are just talking nonsense, isn't it obvious that I should tell them what it means?

And what do you mean "BTFO"? Are you really such an idiot that you think just hurling insults means you win?
>>
>>43157357
>Solipsism, or at least metaphysical solipsism, asserts that nothing exists beyond a single mind.
Well, from a philosophical standpoint you cannot prove anything exists outside of yourself. It all could be a hallucination, or a dream.
>>
>>43159911
Judging by what you’ve written, you clearly still don’t understand what solipsism is.

Without even knowing what it means, you're calling me a bot just for trying to explain it.

Let me explain it again, if solipsism is true (at least if metaphysical solipsism is true), there is only one real person in this forum and in this world. Everyone else is merely a puppet created for it to play with.

That is why I explained it again, because it makes no sense for someone who actually believes in solipsism to argue against someone else's rebuttal by claiming they "you two have lack an inner monologue." or saying "our imagination" ,etc.

Fundamentally, if solipsism is true, everyone other than that single person is an illusion. Yet every single sentence he write implicitly acknowledges the existence of other people's consciousness and selfhood.

Did you understand now?
>>
>>43160413
>Fundamentally, if solipsism is true, everyone other than that single person is an illusion.
You can't prove that it isn't. Solipsism may not be practical, but its philosophically sound. We are all trapped by our senses inside our heads.

thanks for the clip. i have heard of that movie and have listened to the OST from time to time. anyway, practical solutions matter because we need resources to stay alive. but yes i have already accepted that the past 20+ years of my life have resulted in things getting worse for me because i let my Ego be over-active in trying to make more money.

if i just wage-cucked it this entire time, and invested a mere $1000 each year in tech stocks, i'd be in a much better spot than i am now.

>Solipsism is the truth. At the ultimate level it's all me experiencing myself.
I think a better way to put this might be: God is experiencing you. You are not God.

>dO yOu uNdErStAnD nOw
Buddy, do you understand how to talk to people yet? Or will you keep pretending?
>>
>>43160803
Either you’re not smart enough to understand what you’re even saying, or you just enjoy picking fights and trolling people.

If you truly believed in solipsism, you wouldn’t be using the word "bot" as an insult. If solipsism were true, everyone on the internet, everyone in the entire world, IS a bot.
>>
>>43160860
Solipsism being true or not and the observer finally looking through the facade and realizing the charade are two different things. That's what you don't understand. You're one of those people who think they are really eloquent while missing key parts of what's going on, kek. It's not like it goes 'click' and the curtain gets lifted once you state your beliefs, just like jesus isn't coming down from heaven to fist bump you if you state you're a christian
>>
>>43160877
If Christians were going around claiming that the resurrection of the dead is impossible or telling people that there is no afterlife, so they should just focus on living this life to the fullest, then one could certainly attack their belief system.

This comment of yours seems to be a reply to >>43154140, but the reason I repeatedly brought up the dictionary definition of solipsism was in response to these comments

> > 43156817
> > 43157096
These comments were written with the clear awareness that there is a conscious interlocutor on the other end, they were not written under the impression that the he was simply talking to himself.

It is only natural for someone to point out the contradictions in what they are saying.

Research in neuroscience has shown that not believing in free will chemically alters your brain’s motor regions to reduce your agency on a cellular level.

Determinist fags are the ultimate cucks. Fictionalism (believing in free will ironically) preserves your agency.

>If you truly believed in solipsism, you wouldn’t be using the word "bot" as an insult. If solipsism were true, everyone on the internet, everyone in the entire world, IS a bot.
Yup, as well as 'you' being a bot as well. The entire human body, thought processes, biological processes would then be automated programs observed by a still observer, observing a botted program guised as piloting a human body, but is actually a subset among other automated botted programs to create the illusion of a human experience. There would truly be no free will if others are just automated bots, because that would make you one too, as much of your choices in life are contingent among the reaction of events around you.

>I think a better way to put this might be: God is experiencing you. You are not God.
This is an interesting take. You're not wrong, but the fine point that needs to be put on it is: how does one define "you" in that sentence? If you're referring to Ego, then yes, ego is a tool used by God to experience Itself. Ego is NOT God. However, the conscious awareness that is the essence of what we ARE IS God. There is only one quantum nonlocal consciousness (which we are intimately connected to), and it uses us to know itself. The knowing comes through the experiencing, so ego is definitely a necessary element, but it is also a construct meant to provide texture and context. It is not intended to drive the train, so to speak.
