what martial art should i do after taekwondo? i'm currently abt to be a black belt in ITF taekwondo and i noticed that it kinda sucks due to the lack of handwork.ive been thinking of exploring either judo (since im pretty big) or eskrima (for grappling techniques and knifeplay). in general im looking for a style that is more hands-focused to go with the footwork of taekwondo
>>247891Kickboxing. Look, I might have a retarded vision of things here, but I see Taekwondo and Aikido as very similar martial arts. Laughed upon, misunderstood, with too many mcdojos and clowns. In short, ineffective. But what I also noticed when doing kickboxing is that taekwondo guys have a style that's powerful and unconventional. They have to adapt to some KB stuff, but some go into fights with a taekwondo style, almost like fencing with their leg, and it works. Kind of like this girl, but less obvious https://www.youtube.com/shorts/2ShTujCVJzcSo I think that Taekwondo is like a DLC for Kickboxing. I mentioned Aikido because I think it's like a DLC for Judo and BJJ, but that's a whole other can of worms
>>247891Will you become an amazing all around fighter who can threaten competent fighters? Probably notCan you kick a crackhead in the chest and make him rethink his decision? Probably yesNot everyone has to be super optimal MMA guy
>>247891Since you have kicks boxing or kick boxing. Escrima seems cool but hard to find a good gym.
