How do Muay Thai fighters train? Do they do technique, cardio, sparring, and calisthenics?
>>
no none of that
>>
yes to all
>>
i'd argue you have to ways. running and lifting or bike and calisthenics. i'd rather do bike and calisthenics
>>
At the gym I go to in Thailand we start with either running or skipping for cardio/warm up. Then we do pad work with the trainers. Usually three to four rounds of pad work depending on your cardio. During padwork the trainers try to fix your technique and teach you useful combos. Then we do some work on the bag to build power. Finally, we finish off with sparring. 2 hour session in total. I am exhausted by the end. Electrolytes are a must have.
